I've not experienced the former. For me it tends to blot negative emotions and enhance positive ones. Never tried shrooms. LSD a few times over 50 years ago which was always quite nice.

All Ebikes are motorized vehicles unless you leave the battery at home. You can go just as fast using PAS as you can with a throttle.

Don't know that there is much difference between say a 150 pound person peddling a 125 pound bike or a 200 pound person peddling a 75 pound bike. It's the 1000W motor that takes it out of the ebike class at least in my state.

In my case my bike is either locked in my garage or sitting under my ass. Pretty safe in either place.

But she already regards her analog bike as "heavy" That is something I just don't get. What is easier, riding a heavy ebike up a hill or pushing a lightweight analog bike up a hill?

What I did was buy a piece of land and then build a very bare bones house. Then over the next 35 years I added to it and finished parts of it whenever money and time became available. I never had a mortgage.

Personally I'd be suspect about the safety of an E-bike battery that only cost $230.

Not to mention that if you crash your bike at 30mph it's going to hurt a lot more than if you crash at 15mph.

There are some hills every ride but most are not too long so only short bursts of PAS 4 and sometimes 5. Some groomed gravel trails and the occasional dirt rode.

900 miles? Wow, that's too bad. I replaced my stock chain at around 2,000 miles with KMC. I've got a little over 4300 miles on it now and it's still good. I live on the coast too but here it's rocky rather than sandy.

OK, Do you think during shifting there is more chain wear as it jumps for cog to cog than just from turning the wheel? I think you are in Florida? where I would guess fewer hills than Maine although I've never been there. Does the KT controller deliver more power that stock Rad ones?

Over time I've developed a fairly specific riding style. My rides are generally in the 15-25 mile range. I have no interest in speed and usually ride in the 10-15 mph range. I don't shift much and am generally in either 3rd or 4th gear (out of 7) I pretty much never use 1st or 2nd and 5-7...

50mph on a bicycle sounds insane. I start pumping my brakes when I get close to 25MPH.

I don't think speed is as much a factor as convenience. While I don't use it much, a throttle is great for getting rolling from a dead stop especially when in a higher gear.

They all look the same to me. A bunch of skinny little seats. My most comfortable seat is soft and about 13" wide.
