I suppose that even though my 2020Rover St. has never gotten wet and is always kept indoors when not in use, that I will just buy one of their safety shield 13AH batteries. I think the originals are 14AH but I'll be 77 in a couple of months and my rides these days are under 20 miles so I'm sure...

In the nearly 6 years I've owned my Rover ST it's never gotten wet or even damp.

Question is were they stock bikes or modified? Rebuilt or aftermarket batteries? Proper chargers? Were the batteries damaged by dropping or owner negligence? Other things that I've not thought of? Too many possibilities that were not the fault of the original equipment.

I was wondering about that when an email from them offering the Rover 6 for $999. which is an awfully good price. Thought about it briefly but my 2020 Rover still runs great so saw no reason.

No. It gets tricky enough where I live with cars passing me on curves including uphill curves. A lot of people are just too stupid to wait for a safe place to pass. There have been a few close calls with cars coming the other way. Passing more than one bike would just make things worse.

I saw something similar on a rerun of Two and a Half Men. It involved roller skates and a ramp. One teenage boy was in front of the ramp wearing roller skates after stuffing himself with baked beans and the other stood behind him with a butane torch. Didn't work as I recall.

That's just what I use and it works great. I can raise the bike a few inches to a few feet depending on what I'm doing. Got mine on Amazon and think it was about $25.

On my own. Roads and bike trails. Lucky to live just a few miles from a nice section of Acadia National Park that's not on the island. Several nice trails that are barely used even during tourist season. I can often ride those trails and see very few hikers or bikers and sometimes none at all.

Must have taken some really powerful weed to come up with that.

Same rule on park trails where I ride. I just unplug it when I ride those trails which converts class 2 to class 1.

I've never been concerned about battery fires or a little extra weight when it comes to Ebikes. I do like the abundance of sodium vs lithium though.

I would think it would depend on how much weight you're talking about.

The cars could really make a difference too. EVs now are out of reach for most.

I vote no. Anyone thinking about buying a bike should first know the rules in their area.
