Probably doable but that would might eliminate the possibility of installing, for example, an SKS Germany Speedrocker front fender.

AFAIK the 12 speed shifter produces a different stroke for the gear change than the 10-s one. Impractical. Elaborating: There is a different distance between the cassette cogs for the 12 and the 10 speed system. The shifter is indexed for a given indexing, or the cog distance.

Jokes aside. Tell me if you ride a 20" wheel fat tyre motorcycle style throttle illegal e-bike and I will tell you whether you deserve to be admitted to the exclusive club :)
