Trek did it too. Each to their own, however it screams throttle only. I've yet to see local riders of this style eScooter pedaling. Again I say ride it like you stole it and have fun!
FFS, have you ever tried collecting insurance that will make you whole after a major theft? Insurers will drag the process out and put a mom and pop business in a tough spot.
Collecting on ones insurance isn't free money.

Well I find very few Day6 electric posts anywhere. I love my Day6 but it does have some serious issue. The steering dynamics really are awful. The seller is terrible about support. Simple questions aren't addressed. A simple chain link specification can't be had! Frustrating...
