Looking for a lightweight city/commuter bike

If you're not 'bike savvy' I'd recommend you purchase your bike from a local bike shop. E-bikes need more maintenance and having a bike shop close by that can work on your bike is a huge plus. I'd also recommend a mid drive power train with a torque sensor. Suspension forks are nice, but they...

Caution - Do Not Put A Deposit On a Pre-Order!

Good advice, Tom. I did that once with Watt Wagons. Never again.

Can the Fuzua battery be charged while still in the frame and can the power be turned on/off without taking the battery out?

Staying warm while riding In the cold winter

The three best things I'v purchased for winter riding are electrically heated socks and gloves and winter cycling boots (with clipless cleats).

Scott Solace 20 eRide after 3 Months

A couple of years ago I took a $10,000 carbon Creo for a test ride. While riding along I went to increase the power level just before coming to a steep hill. The road was heavily shaded with trees, so I didn't see the big pothole in front of me as I took my hand off of the handlebar to reach...

Scott Solace 20 eRide after 3 Months

New Carbon Fiber Bike from Ride1up

electrek, an online reviewer of ebikes, has an article on the CF Racer1: https://electrek.co/2023/12/12/ride1up-cf-racer1-unveiled-gravel-road-e-bike/ How the heck they can offer a carbon frame, carbon fork, carbon seat post, and one piece carbon stem and handlebar, with SRAM components for is...

New Carbon Fiber Bike from Ride1up

Only two sizes available (50 & 56cm). Personally, I'd rather have a quality aluminum frame than a cheap carbon frame.

Propane is an option, but I haven't come across a natural gas powered generator in my search for a stand alone house unit.

    First e bike on order

Good choice. 👍 My wife has a Photon. I've taken it for a couple of short rides and I like it. She loves having a throttle.

    Kindernay goes Kaput

I'm lucky, I guess, because I ordered extra gear oil a while back, because it was hard to get. My hub didn't leak until I did a hard ride (while riding on pavement) hitting 1500-1700W a number of times. Right after that the hub started to leak.

Kindernay VII IGH and HYSEQ Onesie shifter

I suspect their demise was helped along by their inability to solve their hub's leaking problem.

    Kindernay goes Kaput

I guess I won't have to worry about sending my Kindernay hub all the way back to Germany when it falls again. I should have seen the writing was on the wall when riders had their leaking hubs replaced only to have them start leaking again. If (probably more like when) my hub starts...
