Is There a Quality Hardwired E-bike Headlight?

I usually use a self powered, handlebar mounted bike headlight (Outbound Lighting Trail EVO), but don't always carry it on every ride. If I don't think I'll need it, it's just another accessory to mount before starting out. Last week, I took an evening ride and lost track of time. It got dark...

Riding with music: Any attempt to sync cadence with beat or vice versa?

Reminds me of the early days when I used a clothespin to hold a playing card in the spokes.

    Rear Rack Bag?

A low or no cost rear rack bag solution is a plastic milk crate: You can usually find minimally damaged crates being thrown out at convenience stores, or buy online for cheap.

    Sound in the Ears

If you let your sideburns get bushy enough, you won't need the Cat Ears. ;)

    Sound in the Ears

+1 on the Cat Ears. Not much help if you don't wear a helmet though.

Riding with music: Any attempt to sync cadence with beat or vice versa?

With the increased number of nearly silent EV's on the road, I'm beginning to think that listening to music while riding isn't that much of a safety issue anymore. I was nearly tagged by one this spring at a trail road crossing. The EV came around a bend at a good clip and nearly hit me as I...

    Ebike helmet

You can always do what these folks did and get a trike. I particularly like the helmets, although I doubt they're MIPS rated.

What have you learned from your e-bike experiences?

I was actually thinking of filling it with helium to make the bike lighter.

What have you learned from your e-bike experiences?

Hey! They would work great for the Iron Man bike / swim competition!

Pedego Interceptor DOUBLE leg kickstand rec's

The Velo looks like an interesting product and I may give one a try. Thanks for posting. It should work well for level, paved or smooth surfaces but not so much for trail use. The reviews I've read tend to agree.

What have you learned from your e-bike experiences?

I'm giving up the helmet & knee pads and getting one of these: I can patch it after a spill but the problem is, it takes so darn long to inflate with my bike tire pump.

Velotric Discover 1 Plus Step-Through Carry up two sets of stairs?

If the bike you're looking at has a walk assist feature, you can use it, along with this ramp to power the bike up stairs. It's just a piece of 4" PVC pipe cut in half: The base end piece is a 4" tee cut in half to keep the ramp stable. The piece on the top is a short piece of PVC pipe that...

    Offset Saddle Adapter

I've never tried it but others here have reversed their handlebar stems with some success. It can alter the geometry though, and won't work on all bikes. All you can do is try it on a longer ride and see how you like it. Be cautions when making turns until you get used to the change in dynamics...

Is Rear Hub Drive Prone to Rear Tire Flats?

I've never had to do it but I'm told Tannus inserts provide enough bulk to allow riding on a flat. Probably wouldn't work with fat tires though. A couple of years back, I saw a guy loading his bike at a trailhead with pine needles sticking out between the rear tire & rim. He said he got a flat...

Pedego Interceptor DOUBLE leg kickstand rec's

I searched in vain for a double leg stand for my Interceptor. If you do find one, please post a link. I've found on other bikes, that double leg stands work well on fairly level ground but I ride mostly trails with irregular surfaces. For trails, I much prefer a single leg stand. The problem...

    Offset Saddle Adapter

Yes, the adapter can be reversed to move the saddle forward. I have the same back issue and like an upright riding position. I use these back swept Jones H bars to keep from having to lean forward: https://jonesbikes.com/jones-h-bar-sg-2-5-loop-aluminum/

People for Bikes: Progress on Ebike Laws in the US

Most National and State parks rely on attendance to justify their existence. The rangers jobs are often dependent on the number of people who visit these parks. I have yet to see rangers actively checking for illegal bikes. They want to see attendance and if you don't stand out in the crowd, it...

    Offset Saddle Adapter

Used as a spring like the product was intended, I doubt I'd get a half mile or 30 seconds out of it. Cut down and modified for an offset, as shown it the first post, I have 155 miles and 16 hours on it so far with no problems. If your seatpost has an adjustment like these, yes, the seat angle...

Show us pictures of where you ride your ebikes!

If you use a Windows based PC, you can simply copy an image from a folder or directory and paste it into your message. It must be less than 2MB in size or you will get an error message.
