Class three bike with speed restriction feature?

Most known brand ebikes will ship as a Class 2, and you can un-lock it for Class 3. A few things to note though. If you can lock and un-lock it, so can your kids. The internet has a how-to for everything. I'm sure some ebikes can be locked via a set code but I have no idea who sells such a...

    Replacement wheel?

I'd pull the wheel, remove the tire and check the inside of the rim. It looks cosmetic to me BUT I'd still check the inside. You should see my rims. They are all nicked up. I'm with PCeBiker as I could care less about cosmetic damage and Im also with Stefan Mikes in verifying the rim is 100%...

Trying to decide between Aventon Level 2 or Euphree City Robin +

I'll toss in my 2cents. I hate the Suntour seat post that comes on the City Robin. I had the same post on a E-Lux and it was just to soft and floppy, so the included post wouldn't sway my choice. That being said you do have a dilemma. Both are a proven brand with real dealer support. I almost...

Guys who ride step through bikes...

I love step-thru ebikes and I ride a motor scooter. The term for a motor scooter is a toilet, because it looks like your sitting on a toilet with handlebars. I could care less about people clowning my rides, I ride what works for me. Now, that strange translation from Chinese to American is...

Inner tubes. Our friend AND enemy.

I'm not running the Bakcou tubes yet, I'm waiting until my next flat like a dummy. I used the Sunlite tube that I picked up locally. I don't think I'll notice any change in rolling resistance though. On a regular bicycle maybe, I don't think the thicker tubes will affect anything on a ebike. I...

Nightly protest bicycle ride in China, by students about their economy, since the U.S. election.

I wonder if they have a guy in front of the group playing drum and bass music? That Dom Whiting guy might be visiting China! But seriously, that's a pretty big ride out.

Tis better to have mirrors than not.

I've rode motorcycles, and now motor scooters, since I was 12 years old. I have to know whats behind me! Rear view mirrors are a must have for me. Maybe its all the motorcycle riding, or maybe I'm just paranoid, but I have a hard time not having a rear view mirror. God forbid a side mirror gets...

Inner tubes. Our friend AND enemy.

I don't do Amazon anymore spokewrench, so I'll ask my co-worker to buy it on his Amazon account for me. I'm willing to take a $20 gamble on a small portable air pump!

Lost the key for my Juiced Ebike

I know someone discovered a blank Honda motorcycle key opened a certain brands ebike battery. I tried it on said ebike brand (I had Honda key blanks from my wife's old Honda Silverwing that I never got copied) and guess what, it worked! I despise loosing keys and know how you feel.

Inner tubes. Our friend AND enemy.

Everyone, thanks for great ideas and suggestions! I got the Bakcou tubes and they remind me of the beloved extra thick tubes Wal-Mart used to sell. Oh, I'm also going to buy one of those electric air pumps to carry in the basket. Yes, I think I could have got home riding, and not walking, if I...

Interested in experience of people transitioning to a frontloading cargo bike

Only one I've ever seen in person was the Trek Fetch. The box was to small for my wife to fit in it comfortably. My main impression was "That bike is a monster!". I like the idea of one but I'm not sure I can live with one. Do you have a dealer in your area or are willing to travel to a dealer...

Inner tubes. Our friend AND enemy.

I got everything back together. Outside of a bunch of scratches the Xpedition survived my snap session. The Carless Whisper tire was a 5 out of 10 to install, 1 being easiest like the original tire. I'm currently running a "utility grade" Sunlite inner tube with a Mr. Tuffy liner as well. I'm...

Inner tubes. Our friend AND enemy.

I ordered 2 of those Bakcou tubes. Oh, don't worry PCeBiker, I'm writing a "reminder note" on my down tube to not snap again. I got a few catchy ideas. Will post a picture when I finally flip the Xpedition back over. So far my new wheel is in transit and the original wheel is still collecting...

    Any Ebike light battery recommended?

A friend took a silver Greenfield and polished it out to a mirror like finish. He said he was bored and wanted to try his hand at polishing. He has it on a tatty Worksman beach cruiser. It really pops on there.

Inner tubes. Our friend AND enemy.

That's why I asked if anyone knows of a quality brand. I'm gonna try this Sunlite and see how it goes. I know there is a failure rate in every product. I've had good luck with those 40% thicker Goodyear tubes Wal-Mart sells/sold but they (Goodyear) don't make them for a semi-fat tire in 20"...

Inner tubes. Our friend AND enemy.

I have one of those. I forgot the brand but it wont fit in the wheel! It's to tall because the 20" wheel combined with a big hub. I'll try to find it and post up a pic. I was so excited when I received it thinking "No more bike shop fees, I can do this myself!" but nope, didn't fit.

Inner tubes. Our friend AND enemy.

I stopped in a bike shop to see if they had a 3"- 4" tube in stock, or even a Globe Haul tube. The Globe Haul tube seems to be out of stock everywhere so I ended up with a Sunlite inner tube. The bike shop said the fact that I haul my wife on the back is what puts max stress on any inner tube...

Inner tubes. Our friend AND enemy.

The local ebike shop has had my rear wheel for over 2 weeks now for a spoke tension check/set. I think they're short handed and the turn around times are sloooow. I just ordered a whole new rear wheel for the Xpedition. I got a $265 lesson in staying calm and not to use inner tubes from Lectric...

    Review of my Lectric ONE.

Only torque sensor ebike I've ridden was a Cero One. I liked that ebike but 1) No throttle and 2) It took mad effort to get over 16mph. But the take-off was instant, quick and smooth. Never herky jerkied. Every ebike I've ever owned has had better response off the line compared to the ONE. My...
