    Lectric Trike reboxing

Let us know the outcome. Luckily I've never had to return a DTC ebike. Why the reason for return may I ask?

    Do you ride with someone?

I've used a tow strap (Chase Harper brand) once in all my years of 2 wheel ownership. Once was enough for me. If the bike breaks down with the wife and I, and its to far to walk home and grab the truck, we just leave the ebike/scooter/motorcycle and call a cab. Go back and pick it up later. I...

    Choosing the best conversion kit

Sometimes you can find a used older model ebike for cheap. Someone upgrades a Lectric XP to the current model, sells old one cheap, for example. You might be able to find a decent used kit but that (around my area) seems harder. Good luck in your search.

    Ebike I want to pedal

That new TREK FX is nice on paper, so much so I want to check it out in person. I have a great TREK dealer in my area. Finally, a mainstream manufacturer that's using the evil "T" word on their ebikes!

    Handel bar grips

Lock-on style, like mentioned above, are the best option. But should you want regular style grips to stay put I use either Aqua Net or spray point. Spray point works best. Spray inside the grip before sliding on and have a rag ready!

    Tire Liners

I run Mr. Tuffy liners in all my ebikes. First trick, get the correct width for the tire your installing them in. Second, inflate the tube just enough to hand center the liner. Some on the wider Tuffy liners have a adhesive peel strip to stick them to the center of the tire. I've never used the...

    XP Lite 2.0 gearing

I have a RadRunner 2, also a single speed. I use it as a moped most of the time, bombing around at 20mph. When I want to pedal, be it for exercise or conserve battery, I just drop the PAS down to 2. It'll (RadRunner 2) ghost pedal at 20mph, but will let you exercise at PAS 3 and lower. And yes...

Nutcase helmets at Ollie's for $9.99?

I've been to 2 other Ollie's and both of them had zero nutcase helmets. The last Ollie's to check is across the water (Norfolk to Hampton) so I'm trying to find another reason to brave tunnel traffic, not just for closeout helmets.

Nutcase helmets at Ollie's for $9.99?

So I stopped into a Ollie's today (06/28/2025) and found a nutcase helmet for $9.99, regular price of $80. It was the strawberry print one and it fit my wife. We bought it. I also found 2 electric blue nutcase helmets in Large for $9.99, but I wear a Medium. I stopped at my local Ollie's on the...

Got my 15yo son the Wired predator. Did i make a mistake?

So you purchased a dirt bike originally and never had time to take him out on it. I can see that. Then you replaced it with a ebike that was totally overkill. I can see that as well. If it was me I would have split the difference and gotten him a Honda Ruckus or Yamaha Zuma. Not sure about your...

    best security ideas for ebike

I use a Litelok X1 for my Honda PCX and I have a X3 for whatever ebike I take out. As far as accessories I'm a avid Hexlox fan. My front wheel and seat are safe. Shame we have to use so many steps to secure what we have but I try my best to stay one step ahead. I don't really trust modern...

    best security ideas for ebike

The guy I gave my dual motor Apollo Ghost to did the Ludo mod to it. Faster and scarier! Is that a early Apollo? Never seen blue before.

    Places that hate bicycle riders.

Slightly off subject but concerning customer interaction. I have a friend who hates eating at places in "da 'hood", saying most are dirtier then the same restaurant in a regular area. I have a Hardee's down the street from me (I live in a 'hood) and it's always been clean, staff are friendly and...

Light(est) small Ebike with throttle for disabled wife (5'2")

If you're looking for a small and light hold-over till she gets better and can manage the Rad I'll loosely suggest a JackRabbit. I have one and it does everything I ask of it. Been stone reliable, idiot proof (I haven't broken anything) and is just care free fun.

Straight (not angled) stem tube for Lectric XP 3.0 folding step through

I ordered the turtle neck shorty kit from David and it took awhile for it to arrive. The crazy part was I no longer needed the kit and gave it to my local ebike shop. I saw your for sale add and I see no reason why someone won't jump on the offer. Good luck on the sale! Also glad the parts I...

I can confirm these BiKase ABC adjustable bottle cages are nice.

    Music Junkies?

I'll tell you what song got stuck in my head, Doja Cat, Mooo! song. Co-worker played it on his phone after I told him I wanted to start a cow band (yeah, a cow band) and I had "I'm a cow bitch," STUCK in my head ALL DAY at work. Luckily I drove that day and played American Sharks self titled...

    Replacing the ebike

I just replaced all my old Kobalt battery equipment because Kobalt quit supporting my battery platform. I could have purchased some China EZ Zap batteries from Amazon but just went ahead and replaced my mower, trimmer combo and blower with STIHL equipment. But the EGO brand was VERY tempting...
