    Step-Thru

That one is deep sci-fi. The US Navy has giant blimps that explore adjacent universes at a rate of over one per second. The gap is interesting. There is one universe where the earth does not exist but the moon is still there. So if you can sideways jump into that gap there is no issue with...

How to find a suitable replacement controller

I think it needs a new bike. Investing more in this is a lost cause; don't die on that hill. And I am not going to follow along.

    Step-Thru

I am reading a series that has a character who is AI and operates across multiple parallel universes. He is a beneficent Buddhist deity and created a corporeal body for himself and made another one for a dead nun and resurrected her so he has a companion. That is just one minor sideline story in...

Weird and unusual things? This is what I am putting together now. I also made a tossing toy. A friend tossed one at his wife and she fell down laughing. Another friend toss one at her teen who also laughed for ten minutes and caught her off guard and tossed it back.

Best Bike Attachments for a Safer and More Fun Ride

@Ava Garcia, What is the bike? Do you have a rack and panniers. Those make it so you can go shopping. There are some front baskets that are attractive and have a cupholder that a bouquet can go in. When I stage a bike with a basket with a bouquet they sell immediately. Pedals are great upgrade...

    Dropper seat-posts, cartridges...

I was just talking to someone who will ride over the Rockies. She does not really want someone drilling her beautiful handmade frame and she does not want to spend $800 on a wireless dropper, that also is one more thing to remember to keep charged. Her descents could be hours long so it probably...

    Seeking that extra range

If you have a rack and pannier, put it in the bottom of the pannier, low. The second one can be smaller than the first, just as long as it fits in the same tray or holder. I can swap batteries based on that day's ride needs. Normally smaller is better, 60 mile rides are very rare for me. Most...

I recently made an add-hock hammy 15-bean soup. It was mostly veggies with squash, peppers, then a six-year-old who does not like veggies ate a giant bowl served with warm cornbread with butter and honey. That will stick to your ribs on a cold day. His mom can't get him to eat veggies but he ate...

A Fire Warning For An E-Bike Battery Was Issued. It Was Too Late For A St. Paul Couple.

This may not apply, but in the Spring of 2020 there were supply line problems due to the pandemic. Factories would need to shut down without warning and the restart where they left off three weeks later. When that happens things fall through the cracks. Demand was very high and you just could...

A Fire Warning For An E-Bike Battery Was Issued. It Was Too Late For A St. Paul Couple.

This is the kind of thing were some accountant somewhere who does not know about bikes or batteries wants to save $0.70 per bike unit. Over 700,000 bikes that is almost $500,000 but at what cost to the core of the business and the equity of the brand?

Introducing Myself: Mostly a Solo Rider

I had a riding buddy for about six months, but just lost her. I am not sure what I did or did not do. I think that she was giving me between the lines cues and clues that I did not pick up on. She mentioned something about a birthday and out of respect I did not pry. I did not get some...

    Rear Wheel Removal Tip

I once had to use a zip tie on a bike, bummer. Nine inches is fine as long as she cannot reach all the way around it with one hand.

    Rear Wheel Removal Tip

This has nothing to do with rear wheel removal. It is a modified BLT called an LGBTQ because it has queo and guacamole, GQ. It has the energy required for rear wheel removal. That is brea melted into the bacon aiding the wheel removal process.

    Rear Wheel Removal Tip

I have to do something today that I don't want to do. It is like changing a diaper. Putting it off won't help. First I need to attach those little wires in that central pile sealing each one because they were damaged when removing the external insulation.

    Signs of fall/winter.

It is 10:00 AM here and there is freezing fog. I am also in California but it is the difference is between Charleston and Trenton. Sitting here I have a pollo, long shirt, thin sweater and a thick sweater. To ride I will need another wool sweater and a coat.

How to find a suitable replacement controller

The controller is the junction box of all wires and has mosfets and the motherboard. A display is very different. It resides on the handlebar and shows things such as speed and power level. If you want to find a replacement display go to google images and search for five-pin ebike displays. This...

    New to ebikes & Forum,

I was working on a HappyRun last year when I got food poisoning from a Vietnamese place across the way and had the happy runs for a day. I am in the other CA and here these are not allowed at schools, in bike lanes, or on bike paths. They require a DOT approved helmet, a motorcycle licence, a...

    Rear Wheel Removal Tip

I have something like 600 custom eBikes in circulation. Each has its own story. To see what others say about their bikes see Google Maps and look for PedalUma eBikes, reviews. Bob Merwin's review is cool. He asked me if the bike should be tossed in the dumpster, that was its condition. Any likes...
