    Big mistake!

It's really simple to lace so don't sweat it. You'll understand when you have it in hand. One end of the rope is tied to the ceiling mount, laced thru the wheels and then the other end you pull. My bike is +80lbs and I lift it without struggle and without removing the battery. Me too... But...

    Big mistake!

I don't believe that stand is wife approved 🙃

    Big mistake!

It really doesn't move much and you can easily compensate... And you have to be equally careful in a Park stand that isn't bolted down, if not more.

    Big mistake!

I thought of that as well... But for some reason I prefer the one rope. It'll probably be easier to visualize when it's in front of you. But what I did is lace the far end as shown. Then on the pulling/lock end instead of exiting to become the pull, I go around the wheel and down to the second...

    Big mistake!

A few bits.... The instructions call to lace two ropes.. Front/Rear... But I laced it with one lifting both ends at the same time. If you do as I did and depending on where you attach it and your bikes weight distribution, it may lift unevenly. But it's really not a problem as you can adjust...

    Big mistake!

Might be true... But my Park Tool stand has been collecting dust since I purchased the hoist.

    Big mistake!

That's what I love about it... The lift height is variable and I do most work near eye level. And with the pulleys it cuts the weight and also allows me to use my body weight pulling down. Old_Fart Certified.

Magic (not real magic) chain lube for outstanding lasting performance and virtually no wear

My experiment is well on its way And the best part is... many people seem happy to pre-package lubricant for you in a convenient single use quantity.

    Big mistake!

No problem... just use Yak Express 🙃

    Big mistake!

You can lift just the back wheel if you want... but lifting both doesn't impede running the wheels motor Which particular one did you buy?

If you have a place to install this... I have two and they are awesome for bike maintenance. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001EUL2DO?ref=ppx_pop_dt_b_product_details&th=1

Magic (not real magic) chain lube for outstanding lasting performance and virtually no wear

Not sure how you derived that... but actually I do not agree with his methods and I believe I mentioned that in another thread where this was discussed. That said, I'm happy if he is and one statement of disagreement was enough for me. What's life without whimsy 🙃

    1,200 miles later (A7 Pro)

.... so maybe in your case it wasn't improper bleed on assembly. How many miles in 2 years? In any case a lever bleed is a good place to start as it's relatively easy and with minimal mess.

    1,200 miles later (A7 Pro)

As you have done... a lever bleed/top off typically solves this problem. This problem usually happens when a proper bleed isn't done during installation and seems to be common on a new DTC bike. Had to do it on my Zen within the first 3 months and it's still working perfectly 2 years/9000mi later.

Magic (not real magic) chain lube for outstanding lasting performance and virtually no wear

I think next I'm gonna try some dog s*it on my chain. More than once in my life I've slid and nearly fell after stepping in it so it must be a good lubricant. And you don't have to worry about s*it sticking to your chain if it's already covered in it. I mean the saying "it's slippery as s*it"...

Should We Eliminate the Time Change?

.... and my girlfriend complained that I didn't even last 2 minutes... but to me it felt like it was at least an hour 🙃

Boy you must be a joy to be married to. "But honey I just can't!... The spreadsheet clearly states a 47mm stroke achieves maximum efficiency and stimulation" 🙃

Should We Eliminate the Time Change?

Well it happened... Were there any casualties? I'm still safely with Juliett... but she seems a little bit confused this morning.
