Only one I haven't (knowingly) eaten is sernik, and it looks like a spice so maybe I have ... used to have a friend whose mom was Polish. I ate there several times so it's possible. Edit ... I looked it up ... sernik is cheesecake so i have never eaten it. The picture labeling is vague...

    The Universal Ebike!

I have to agree. Although I didn't care for the couple that I rode (too much like a gasoline mini bike), I've found myself recommending them to folks that are just concerned with getting somewhere without driving a car or truck. Vive le difference, I guess.

Emergency coffee for me is usually on the road at a truck stop or worse. Take it like a shot of bad whiskey for medicinal use only.

The bitterness is why they push all the dairy, flavoring, and sugar , I guess ... IMO the only good thing about that chain was that somehow they got people to expect better than Maxwell house that had been sitting on a warmer for hours. The worst thing to me was they showed cafes that free...

Yeah. Over here instant is not acceptable. No one admits drinking it, but strangely everyone has some in a cupboard. "For baking " they say, even if they never baked even a cookie in their lives. And I'm sure you made an impression . But that's no surprise...

Do they only serve espresso in most places in Warsaw? I could get "strong filter coffee" most places, but but never figure out how to order in France. No matter what I said they brought me nescafe. If it wasn't for the wine I would have been dehydrated to death. EDIT "When in Rome, do as thr...

I bought a srainless mocha pot and make expresso at home in it. Got it pretty close for a while, but none of my guests will drink it. And when I worked in an office, I was asked NOT to make coffee by my coworkers. Wusses, all of 'em.

All European coffee shops I visited make an Americono ? Or the Brits "filter coffee " all of which I prefer to most USA coffee shops. No sweetner, only light cream (if very bitter) usually works for me.

Sweetening coffee and adding dairy products worked for Starbucks , one reason for me to avoid them. Best coffee I ever had was in Rome, Italy, and I've been trying to duplicate it ever since.

    Greetings from Sarasota, FL

Hello and welcome! I am in your age class as are many on here. I am amazed that your recumbent was too slow ( too heavy ?) in a flat state like Florida, but it sounds like you have found something better for you. 👍

    Food Porn Rides

Well, the US stores are selling Christmas decor in October (at latest) so being a few weeks early on Octoberfest beer is excusable, I guess, but I was surprised to see it this early. BTW the store I bought it from is already sold out and not expecting more according to the clerk there. I bought...

Not food, but I didn't see the beer thread. So it's not 5 o'clock, it's October Fest somewhere...

What have you learned from your e-bike experiences?

Makes sense. By the time I was in my late 20s I was over being an angry young man ( with occasional lapses well into my 30s) , and now am just a grumpy old fart, pretty happy most of the time. Martial arts training seemed to work for me (and later for my grandson) but in my teens I probably...

At least she wasn't an elected official, I guess. I've been pretty lucky with neighbors, but some of the others I've met in retail or service environments seem to spend their entire lives being as hostile as possible, even if there is no benefit to them in it at all. Doesn’t make any sense...

    Recumbent E-bikes

That comment on bollards reflects on all the crap infrastructure that bikers have to deal with, so I won't comment on it here. But weight should certainly be listed. There is only one recumbent that I see occasionally around town ... not electric and a young fit rider, but it looks big and...

    Recumbent E-bikes

Honestly, that video idea seems like a reasonable request , especially if there is no test ride available. Even if they have to make one on the spot, they should want to address the mount and dismount question for other potential customers , and post it somewhere people can see it. And loading...

    What to buy?

Don't have any advice on what to buy (not a mountain bike fan) but a battery 7 years old is at the extreme end of its lifetime, generally only 5 years. Someone else will comment on brand or types of mountain bikes, I'm sure.

    Recumbent E-bikes

I love the idea of a recumbent on trails like you ride, just afraid of them on streets with 9 foot high pickups and SUVs. Flag or not.

What have you learned from your e-bike experiences?

What Jeremy said. Underlined and bold faced. There's room for all of us, and riding a bike beats riding in a truck every time unless heavy cargo or bad weather is involved .
