Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

Since the bike may come with both the stem and handlebar mounts you can probably tell them how you want it when you order it. Agree with you that the stem mount with the cable routing looks much cleaner and I may swap mine in that way.

Anybody Ride a Specialized Turbo Tero Yet?

I've also noticed that the Mission Control setting on my Tero appears to be off. In my case, Mission Control reports 90.55 in wheel circumference - same as Stefan reported for his Vado (you have an older Vado not using 650B wheels?) . My Garmin auto detected the 29er 2.35 Ground Control tires...

An easy and expensive mistake: Vado Battery Related

Couple youtube videos I found interesting. First one shows what looks like the same model battery assembly as the OP being disassembly: This one shows some other specialized battery with some critical commentary :) : And this one shows a probably water damaged Kenevo pack that is also not...

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

I have a couple of the stem/handlebar garmin mounts that I don't use. One was in the uninstalled extra parts from my 4.0 SL eq. Since I didnt know what it was I just used a regular garmin mount and I'm fine with that. The second came with my Tero. They did put the mtn bike mount on for the...

An easy and expensive mistake: Vado Battery Related

Exactly. At best it would have self-restoring protection for short circuit/overload conditions. At the least it should have serviceable replacement parts so the battery can be salvaged. One of the other users did disassemble the bricked battery and found the cells were still ok. Specialized...

Turbo CREO Comp SL - XS (Updated pics)

I suspect it would be almost an inch lower. Pretty common for many mfgs to equip their xs models with 650B. See bikecalc.com/wheel_size_math for 700c / 28 mm tire vs 650 B / 28mm tire diameters. One thing I would caution is not to rely on Specialized specs for standover sight unseen. Less...

An easy and expensive mistake: Vado Battery Related

It looks like the latest Vado/Tero/Como's use a slightly different layout, possibly to mitigate the chances of the pins being accessible. On my Tero it would take a conscious effort to rotate the door between the frame and the latch to stay open. Otherwise it just flips back and covers the...

    Vado SL 5.0 -- It's Here!

I have both the Levo SL and Vado SL. I used a bathroom scale to get approximate weights of each as well as a Tero I recently purchased. Vado SL EQ medium 39.6 lbs with range extender. Stock except replaced worn oem tires with 28 mm gatorskins which are prob a little lighter than stock. Levo...

    Trying Specialized Delivery

When I was ordering my Vado SL 4.0 EQ a couple years ago, the salesman invited me behind the counter to look at their ordering screen so I could see the difference in available colors. At the time, it showed what I assume to be the dealer cost. From what I remember it was about 2/3rds of the...

2022 Vado IGH - No Thread?

congrats on the new bike. battery video Also check out other specialized university videos for mastermind. Don't remember the exact video but you can turn off beeps thru the tdu settings menu and, if your country allows, the lights thru one of the function buttons (f1 long press I think)...

    Levo SL - De-restrict?

Good info on the 34t, tho I might experiment with a bit higher when I change out the chain. Looks like it adds about 3mph for the 34. Interesting that it works out that everything in green would be 0 assist on the SL Class 1. I assume derestricting will open up assist up to 28mph? I agree...

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

If you are in Lawrence per your profile, looks like the nearest in stock is >50 miles away. All sizes of Tero 5.0 are currently available for order from the Specialized website. 3.0 and 3.0 stepthru are both out of stock in all sizes. You could try to place a tero in your cart and see if the...

    Trying Specialized Delivery

That's the way I read it also. But as I noted, home delivery shows no available dealers in my area. I suspect an LBS needs to be both qualified and willing to be listed as a home delivery option. I also suspect that the additional 25% margin is not worth it for the LBS.

    Trying Specialized Delivery

Seems like US website showed a lot of increased inventory on Spec's website this past weekend. Was able to order a Tero 5.0. Home delivery isn't an available option in SF Bay area, tho I know if I contact Specialized bay area directly they could probably arrange it. Instead I decided to have...

New Vado 5.0 IGH in stock? My LBS's say go for it, they can't get 'em

In the US, the return policy is at https://support.specialized.com/return/en/return-policy Only get a refund if the item is unused. Otherwise can return within 30 days for store credit (bike must be undamaged of course). I would suspect there could be some wiggle room where you can schedule...

New Vado 5.0 IGH in stock? My LBS's say go for it, they can't get 'em

For an ebike, the choices are Specialized delivery where presumably the dealer who delivers to your home address puts the bike together and gets 75% commission. It's not clear what LBS are qualified to do this. At least in the SF Bay Area it is likely that it would be Specialized Bay Area -...

Ordering online: Hoping the Retül size tool is accurate

The major difference between Specialized and the other companies you mention is that (exception Apple), Specialized is the sole supplier and their products for the last couple years anyways have been severely supply constrained. Another way of looking at is from Specialized standpoint is they...

Ordering online: Hoping the Retül size tool is accurate

I guess whoever did the Polish website/translation was working with a different set of specs. Wouldn't be surprising considering how even the US website sometimes has inconsistencies in the tech data/specs. I remember you saying if you were to get a Tero it would be size S. Was this based on...

Ordering online: Hoping the Retül size tool is accurate

I wonder how meaningful Spec's listed standover heights are. Tero is 807 mm for both M/L sizes, Vado is 771 mm for both M/L sizes but Vado SL is listed at 790 mm M and 815 mm L. My SL is a medium and I have no issues with standover but feel a bit scrunched lengthwise. I demoed both a 2022...

mission control, strava, power, etc. [warning: data!]

I recently demo'd a Vado 5.0 equipped with mastermind. I also brought along my garmin 130 plus to record the ride. The garmin automatically connected to the bike to display power and cadence. Since the connection is ant I suspect the Wahoo and other bike computers will work as well. Don't...
