On both of my Pace 500s, the constant rattle was solved by wrapping the controller in bubble wrap.

Ridden Aventon Pace 500 over 3 years and 7,000 trouble free miles. Battery still provides plenty of power for my 30+ mile rides. Excellent company with good customer service. NOT junk!
