Hello from Roberts Creek, Sunshine Coast, BC Canada

Disagree, unless you are an incompetent and cannot service your own bike for minor issues. Owning an e-bike implies some level of ability to use common hand tools and knowledge of how to maintain and fix simple things. If you can't do that you probably shouldn't be purchasing an ebike. The...

Eahora XC100 w/Sport DV 1080 bike cam (takes 3 minute increment videos, writes over oldest file if not copied to other device. Videos can be viewed as one contiguous file). For some reason, the video quality is better at 720p and 30fps than setting at 1080 and 60fps. Obviously, I'm employing...

Greetings from UK, yet to take the plunge, am thinking DIY so far.

My wife doesn't ride the trike much and she/we haven't tested it's range on the 48v/14ah battery; however, it is a heavy machine @~60lbs so I wouldn't expect it to go much more than 20 miles per charge. And since I never hooked up the blue sissy wires (governor limiting wires), it draws the...

Greetings from UK, yet to take the plunge, am thinking DIY so far.

If you're considering DIY'ing an existing non-ebike to ebike, make sure the frame can handle the extra weight and power. Does your present bike have any suspension? What terrain will you be primarily riding on? As to breakdowns, consider other problems besides battery out of juice. Pushing...

    PowerOn LCD display/programming instructions

You're welcome. I tried to go down that rabbit hole a bit with the Motorlife info. Another tip is to look at other displays branded with the Intelligent name (a little difficult, since many controllers use "Intelligent" as a generic term). Some of the other Intelligent brand controller...

    PowerOn LCD display/programming instructions

Well at least they are working ebikes. If you can find out where the seller purchased them and it was a bike shop that is still in business, that shop may have a manual for them. In your online search, did you see this about PowerOn? They only had 2 shipments to the U.S. One with 37 cartons...

    They say it's been shipped!!!

These Espin ebikes look like good value--quality parts, too (color display, hydraulic brakes, Selle saddle!).

    They say it's been shipped!!!

Last year when I bought my eAhora XC100 they gave me the wrong UPS tracking number. I was checking this wrong number every couple of days and it always said "Label Created"--never "Shipped". Then it just showed up at my house from UPS. Nice surprise but not before a lot of anxiety.

    PowerOn LCD display/programming instructions

Tell us more about the bikes. You say they were "picked up". What does that mean? Were they free? Did you purchase from original owners and at a discount? Are they in working condition? Can you charge the batteries and do the batteries have status lights on them to see what level of charge...

Upgrade controller for regenerative eAhora bikes?

My preferred riding routes only have a couple of spots where I go throttle only, and the lack of power of the 15amp controller is apparent. These are not steep inclines either but they are rather long. So going with an 18amp upgraded controller would yield 20% increase. Is the $95 cost worth...

Upgrade controller for regenerative eAhora bikes?

I looked at YAMEE's website. It's eerily similar to eAhora. Their name for peddle assist is I-PAS, while eAhora is E-PAS. Both claim to have patented regenerative charging to the battery @ 60% efficiency. I bet it's the same technology (motor/controller/chipset). The probably get their...

Upgrade controller for regenerative eAhora bikes?

eAhora replied with the list price of $95. I asked for a discount to $75 but they are ignoring me. In my request for the discount price, I informed them I left positive reviews of the bike on Amazon and their ehoraebike.com website shortly after buying the bike last year. I was hoping that...

    Torque Arm

500w isn't enough power to twist or spin and cause damage, unless you have a really weak front fork. Ride fast and enjoy!

    Torque Arm

You have it mounted incorrectly. See the large picture posted above. I have the same ebikeling mounted on a 1000watt front-hub trike and it works fine.

    Gearing change for Moscow

Rated carrying capacity for the XC100 is below...from their "specifics" section of eAhora XC100 webpage. I never saw this when choosing this bike. I weigh 205 lbs. The AM100 is rated at 198 lbs and the 2 fat-tire bikes are 220 lbs. No wonder I can't reach the stated max speed of 28mph. Best...

Upgrade controller for regenerative eAhora bikes?

Just to confirm, you replaced the XC100 controller? Also how did you negotiate the $75 price with eAhora? Through email? I sent an inquiry at their website yesterday but haven't heard back yet. Also which display do you have? The mono YL80C or a color one? I don't want to have to swap...
