Ebikeling 1200w rear wheel kit from Amazon

more to ahicks' point about the wattage being hard to prove - who's to say that the manufacturer's original watt ratings are any more accurate than the sticker? like maybe if your application is punishing the DD motor with a heavy load slowly up long uphills, an ostensibly legal looking 750...

Ebikeling 1200w rear wheel kit from Amazon

i love how the 250w sticker is the polar opposite of those car guys putting on fake air scoops and "turbo stickers"! but the conversation really got me thinking (apologies for momentary thread hijack:) if we set aside the sticker and think through thomas' argument about lawsuits; i wonder if...

Battery for Ebikling 1200w rear motor

by the way, if your motor is like mine, then the freewheel will drag a bit at first (e.g., forward rear wheel movement will want to turn the gear cluster and pedals) but will loosen up quickly to normal behavior. so like your first test ride will make you wonder what's up with range / top speed...

Battery for Ebikling 1200w rear motor

i say go for the largest Ah size that you can muster - i have a 20.4 Ah battery on mine (a polly DP-9 case with a 30A BMS) and on extended uphills at full power the battery voltage will sag quite a bit - it recovers pretty quickly but i wonder if I had only a 10Ah battery whether i would be able...

Does suspension make street riding safer???

PS re: safety, i would say that the FS does help the bike feel more stable over rough spots / washboard surfaces but the way my rear panniers are attached to the rear swingarm, all of the wagging / swaying when i hit a larger bump really takes away from that solid grip feeling... part of the...

Does suspension make street riding safer???

i only do city riding and haven't done any service on the suspension of my old full suspension mountain bike - i would say the main symptoms I am seeing are that the rear air shock doesn't hold pressure as long as it used to (also the lock-out is more of a partial lock-out now) and the front...

Difference in braking on the Ui6 vs the Metro

PS the modified shimano set I got from the aforementioned seller worked great BUT when the weather dropped below freezing there was a point at which one of the switches would get stuck in the "brakes ON" position - somehow it managed to loosen up after a little while, not sure if it was because...

Difference in braking on the Ui6 vs the Metro

Hi Finchman, I installed mine on a Specialized FSR - but they seem to have the same standard mounts as my Surface604 Colt so I suspect magnum is similar (maybe to verify just measure the bolt to bolt spacing on the frame / shocks). I ordered from here...

Difference in braking on the Ui6 vs the Metro

It's pretty inexpensive to upgrade to hydraulics on your own anyhow so if that was the only difference holding you back then I think you made the right choice. You can get a complete bolt on set (master/slave levers, pre-bled with fluid), the only trick is that you need something either made...

    seat post theft??

I use a set of pinheads for my kinekt and it has worked for the three months since i got it... there was an exploit for these locking devices but allegedly they have all been updated

2018 colt - frame water resistance?

i have been biking a lot more in inclement weather lately and have been wondering about all of this salt and water splashing at the wire exit right above the bottom bracket - is there additional sealing to keep water out of the frame or does the water just end up pooling in the bottom bracket...

What’s the most reliable ebike after 10,000km?

i recently bought a motor from them and they didn't have a geared 1200W hub motor option, just a direct drive...the torque on a 1200w geared hub must be phenomenal - did you go with a beefy torque arm? i'm using a grin torque arm instead of the one that came with the ebikeling kit just because...

Is there a 3rd party higher capacity battery that will fit the Rook/Colt???

all good - i'm with you that most people are likely unaware of just how flammable these larger packs can be (i myself was quite surprised when seeing my first video of a pack spouting flares for what seemed to be an eternity). i suppose i should be investing in a sizeable ammo can as well...!

Is there a 3rd party higher capacity battery that will fit the Rook/Colt???

thomas i know that since you're involved in e-bike sales it's probably frustrating whenever you're trying to sell well-vetted, established, brand name gear to someone who walks in talking about "that's way more than whatever [random brand] bike/part i see online"... but i dunno why we're on a...

Is there a 3rd party higher capacity battery that will fit the Rook/Colt???

I would've thought that if the bms sold by Aijiu were not balancing we would've seen someone complaining about really reduced capacity from one of those batteries by now...? It did not take me long while charging to 85% before I needed to rebalance my stock battery. My Aijiu is too new for me...

Is there a 3rd party higher capacity battery that will fit the Rook/Colt???

PS oops I meant Dorado mini, not micro. Per Susie the max they can cram in that pack is 10.x Ah and due to size limitations it may not be possible to fit the 25A BMS within that case so i went with another dorado max...

Is there a 3rd party higher capacity battery that will fit the Rook/Colt???

I got a Dorado max 20.4 Ah from Susie / Aijiu last week for my Colt and it has been working great. My commute involves large inclines and I typically do most of my ride at PAS5 and light pedaling. When I charge my stock 10.4 to 80% I end up in flashing empty by the end of the return trip...
