Hydraulic brake upgrade or calliper upgrade?

I did a bit more reading and my conclusion is I should have this. I am not nimble like I was at 30-35 and wouldn’t want something unsafe. I will ask the bike shop about adding hydraulics etc. There is one shop that I think knows the ins and outs of ebikes and confident they will give me...

Hydraulic brake upgrade or calliper upgrade?

Interesting take which I haven’t heard before. I will think about the cut off on my way home. And whether I need it. I guess by not having the cutoffit would ride more like a regular bike? I think the reason for the cut off is safety right? I am not sure a bike shop would do this. I suppose...

Hydraulic brake upgrade or calliper upgrade?

I desperately want to upgrade the brakes on my Core-5. They have been driving me nuts. I am a big rider and need the best possible stopping power. I have two blocks on my commute that are very very steep downhill. Along with living in the city I need good stopping. Does anyone have a...

    Protecting the controller?

Haha i am such a newb. I now realize the controller is actually near the battery in the downtube? I always thought when “the controller” was used meant the display. I basically want to protect the electrical parts the best I can. We get lots of rain in the winter. Thanks. Btw I have the...

    Protecting the controller?

I am very curious to know if riders use anything to protect their controller from rain? I live in the pacific northwest and get quite abit of rain in winter. Anyone else similar and what do they use to protect the controller? Thanks.

Thanks for your support. I am hoping all the parts and documentation is inside. Hopefully nothing is bent or twisted etc. I am having someone assemble and tune it.

    Shipping nightmare core-5

Sure. Give me a few minutes. Every unboxing video i have seen has the straps as well. You can also see holes where the old staples were. They did re-staple.

    Shipping nightmare core-5

I have been looking at many options and done lots of research on ebikes the past few years. Finally I found something. I live north of the border and live in a walkup apartment. I decided on the Core-5. I bought due its weight and what seems like good value for an entry level bike. I won’t...

    250W and hills?

I am curious. How much was it total to convert? And how much extra weight on the bike? And the kicker for me is I could never put it together and would cost money on top of everything else.

    Core-5 sizing?

Thank u! I would be buying this pretty much blindly. I know there are measurements but its best finding people like yourself commenting. Plus I am north of the border so even more risk.

    250W and hills?

Nope. I wanted to be sure it helps up the hills. But I read further and I don’t think it has a throttle. Unfortunately I love the look and weight of the bike but it’s not going to work. And yes regarding gears. I tried an ebike last week with no gears and didn’t work well for me. I am now...

    250W and hills?

Hello. I live in the Pacific Northwest. Vancouver BC to be specific. I am concerned if I order this bike it will have issues climbing up the hills as it has 250W of power. I realise power isn't everything but 250W doesn't sound like it would work for hills? Thanks
