    Ebike Chain Lubes

I believe contamination picked up on a drive train is being constantly displaced by the moving parts. Just as lubricant is being displaced from between roller and pin and side plates. All the debris and lubricant is looking for a resting place. It’s also being displaced from between the...

    Ebike Chain Lubes

What role does dirt or foreign matter play in wear on a chain? And let’s see the proof. And the second part to that would be how does it compare to metal on metal wear.

    Ebike Chain Lubes

I was using a dry moly for a while and wasn’t getting very good longevity. When I tested debris off the chain it was magnetic. So I quit using it. It might work better as an ingredient rather than 100%.

    Ebike Chain Lubes

I had a bucket of group 4 synthetic oil left over from the race car days I’m gonna try to use up. For the first time in decades I didn’t have any gear oil for some reason. The stuff is nasty slippery and has good shock absorption or vibration damping characteristics. Group IV base oils...

    Ebike Chain Lubes

I was on paraffin wax for a while. I gave it a try. I'm going to go the gear oil or heavy motor oil for a while and see how that makes me feel. I think I can do better with something that flows. When the chain is on the big or small cog there is a lot of offset that a lot or most of these...

Specialized teases details of Globe Bikes sub-brand Cargo eBike

Well s*it man! I thought I found the holy grail. I'll have to take a look at the Tern for comparison. I've been trying unsuccessfully to talk my brother or sister in to an electric. Can't give them bad info. Thanks Brendon.

Specialized teases details of Globe Bikes sub-brand Cargo eBike

Ok, I'm back. Found it to be pleasantly powerful for the hub drive. 5 power settings, 1 negligible, 2 had enough to move around in city traffic. Above that be careful you don't run into anything. The frame and rack appeared well made. There was no throttle available to use. For beginner...

    Ebike Chain Lubes

I found a can of Dupont chain saver that is wax based. Using it on my motorcycle chain for the rollers though the chain is sealed. I still like the straight paraffin on the bicycle chain. The canned stuff seems to be too runny and the virgin oil/paraffin mix 'stays' better.

    Thudbuster vs Kinekt seat posts

I have a couple of the Thudbusters long travel, never a squeak. Their instructions do say to lube the mating surface of the rubbers. Just a thin coat of grease will do you.

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

Igloo makes a 30 qt. cooler that is the perfect size for the plastic grocery sack. I put a couple on my motorcycle and they are working great. $30 ea. Might be a little heavy for bicycle but they are about as light a cooler as you can find and they can keep your stuff cool on the trip home...

Bike shop charging fee to upgrade mission control?

And I’ve given the mechanic a tip for doing an update even though the lbs doesn’t charge for it. They really appreciate it. Giving and receiving are one.
