PS on the holes in bike frames. Those are for pressure release during 1000 to 3000 degree welding, and 400 degree powder coating. Or 350 degree carbon fiber curing. Not for pressure changes in normal use.

The internal pressure would only change a few psi from temp changes, about like going from sea level to 10,000 feet. From 0 to 120 F pressure would change 6 psi, a lot less than your bike tire pressure. Any quality battery case can withstand that. Your comment about the load leveling I think...

If the battery case is fully waterproof, the only moisture is that inside the case at assembly. If a desiccant is placed inside the case, and the battery connections made from non corroding metal, seems there would not be a problem.

Cannot comment on batteries, but during Race Across America our rider (Bob Fourney) would ride his bike directly into the ground level hotel room, jump off, take a quick shower and sleep. Was awake 2-4 hours later and rode the bike back out of room. Always went in at about 2 AM so nobody...

Actually, I have always done at least 80% on an acoustic bike. Commuting, fitness, recreation, touring rides acoustic. Only use the e for quick trip into town to buy something, saves me time.
