    Electric Bike vs. Regular Bike

Incorrect. Any cyclist tries pedalling at the optimum body capacity. Riding a traditional bike means for (most of us) just shorter rides. The body energy expenditure is identical in both cases. (As long as it is not a throttle only e-bike).

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

Impractical. Think of removing the batteries (you can do it on a SL by dropping the motor, easy) The centre of gravity shall be low. TREK E-Caliber 9.6 Gen 2 (discontinued). The battery is only 250 Wh.

Meanwhile, near Warsaw Poland... The Little Frog has announced any loyalty reward points should be used up this year. A little frenzy has accured! You could use your "żappkas" for hot drink, regular beer (I don't drink it), snacks, and several other defined products. Of course, I had to visit...

Please show me a good and proven 40 km long gravel route along the Vistula in Warsaw using plotaroute :)

My point was Komoot had excellent ready and proven trails that you could immediately use, and even easily change the starting point of the trip... I also wonder what is worse with the Komoot route planning interface compared to plotaroute.

@Chargeride: I've just watched your "Pennine Bridleway" video, and I admit you had a hard ride together with Brian! Congratulations for completing it! No idea why Brian's Garmin Instict watch produced such wrong results. Your iGPSport device is a true cycling computer (only without the maps)...

    Just for fun...

Or, when you are watching "The Recruit", a Netflix series... See this and instantly recognise the place... Pańska/Żelazna crossing The former Norblin factory (now gentrified), Prosta/Żelazna crossing ...you were on a night guided bicycle tour in Warsaw in 2015 and were taking photos...

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

Well, Karl has an option to buy it as his dream e-bike :) My point is TREK decided to use a Fazua motor for that e-bike, and that was a grave mistake. A motor you could not trust and an exorbitant price. However... This man bought a 2021 TREK e-Caliber for his wife, and he asks her to lend...

Trek has made an XC e-bike and the name is e-Caliber.

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

Well, check the most lightweight Vado SL 2, unequipped and carbon. What was the name? Racing? 😊 I checked with a friend who was a competing XC rider. He clearly told me an XC bike was for easier technical trails but not for paved surfaces or gravel.

    Gravel Vs. Trail Bikes

Roadies need the 2x with a tightly geared cassette while gravel riders are often fine with the 1x and need a wide range gearing. Even the chainring is different on both types.

I write this to drive the lesson home for you: The team of four riders on MOSTy 500 used Garmin EDGE for each rider. They were using Garmin Connect app with live tracking of the rider currently on the trail. Therefore, the person to start the next lap knew precisely when the previous rider would...

Tell him to get an EDGE, like everybody else :) Why he thinks a watch for runners is a cycling computer reminds a mystery to me :)

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

I had a fair chance to demo ride an S-Works Epic World Cup (I think it is the one shown by Karl above) but I politely declined the offer and tried a less expensive Epic 8 Expert. It was the most disappointing demo ride I've ever had. I could ride the Epic a way slower than I would ride my Vado...

    Gravel Vs. Trail Bikes

Flared drop handlebars, GRX or AXS drivetrain and gravel specific wheel rims are not "road" components. Also, gravel bikes have a generous clearance for wide tyres. Otherwise, I do agree with you. Yes, there's a distinction between "racing" and "bikepacking" gravel bike subtypes. A good example...
