    RAD Power Bikes Going Bust

OK, the reason they went Bankrupt is because they and their (2021) investors are just dumb. From Geekwire Demand surged during the pandemic, climbing nearly 300%, In 2021 the company raised more than $300 million, reaching a valuation of $1.65 billion and branding itself as North America’s...

    Recumbent E-bikes

Yes the Catrike Speed has a 2.5-3 inch ground clearance. That would not work on speed bumps and 50% of my terrain. They are good for a casual cruise. I Seriously considered a four wheeler. You are right about cornering and the perception of speed so low to the ground, they can be fun.

    Recumbent E-bikes

Tried an e-recumbent tadpole. My main concern is that your head is right at bumper level. I tried it a few times and felt very vulnerable at intersections. You cannot see over the vehicles, and if you get hit your head will impact a car or truck, and then the ground. Way more favorable odds...

    Pinion Motor.Gearbox.Unit (MGU)

You know it. They want you corralled and collared by their proprietary systems. Engine lights, limp mode, software updates.

Why does EBR hate recumbent bikes?

I purchased an electric recumbent last year. Everyone that tries mentions they do not feel secure at intersections because their head is at car bumper/grill level. I felt the same way.

What have you learned from your e-bike experiences?

My elbow pads have saved me several times. I would have shattered by elbow for shure without them.

Riese & Müller stops sales to the USA

Take it with a "grin of of salt". I rode my bike in DC two weeks ago (see map) also just this Friday, about 27 & 35 miles. Started at Arlington Cemetery on the Virginia side. Rode across the Memorial Bridge to the Lincoln Memorial, down along the reflecting pool, past the WWII Memorial and up...

Bafang Ultra Corn Head Grease Install Update - July 2022 to July 2025.

Nvreloader, I remove the center gear and the left gear. You can lift the center gear out by jiggling back and forth, i used pliers. I leave the tiny gear and the largest gear on the right in place. The largest gear on the right is more difficult to remove and install due to the motor magnetic...

What have you learned from your e-bike experiences?

Sorry to hear that. It would be nice if they covered it, but from what I can see from your post the manufacturer has no liability. From what I can deduce, you did not perform routine monthly maintenance checks on your spokes. You Just noticed 8 spokes were broken only when you were wiping down...

Bafang Ultra Corn Head Grease Install Update - July 2022 to July 2025.

Yeah, I cannot believe I waited two years to crack it open and check the grease. I just wasn't in the mood to "suck it up" and do the maintenance! I swear I'll check the grease within a year this time!

Bafang Ultra Corn Head Grease Install Update - July 2022 to July 2025.

Sounds like you got some greasin' to do on at least two of your bikes! I'm glad I could provide some follow up for my fellow riders. When I decided to use Corn Head grease, I only had one reference and most people looked askance at the concept. Thanks for your reply and support
