    We"ll call it a draw.:D

Do you really need to torque a through axle?

I've had bikes with QRs for at many decades and never had the first bit of trouble with them. They can be quite convenient if you need to transport your bike with the front wheel off, or for fixing a flat. Maybe they shouldn't be allowed on kids' bikes or for people with little mechanical...

    Took a tumble

Sorry to hear about your injury! There are worse places to not have to wash dishes for six weeks though! As for Stefan's advice, it may be okay, but with his hundreds of falls disclaimer it really comes across as the Black Knight explaining how to win a sword fight. Tis but a scratch TT

    Inner tube sealant

Nitrogen might be better ideally, but from what I can tell it's marginal. The reason for CO2 though is that a large volume of gas can be compressed into a liquid so that you can easily fill a tire with a tiny cartridge of CO2. I don't have real figures, but it would probably take a bottle of...

    c02 Inflator Question

It may work with threaded and threadless carts, but only with 16 gram threadless carts, which would have to use the base. Tt

    c02 Inflator Question

Whatever it is, it looks to me like it's for Schrader valves. The base seems redundant and not big enough to hold a CO2 cartridge though. Does it unscrew and let you insert a CO2 cart? You know, I guess it could be for the threadless style of cartridges, in which case, if there's enough room...

Looking for replacement to Kilimanjaro Hitch Mounted E-Bike Carrier

What's the deal with the recall? Return for a full refund, or are they going to fix or provide you with a fix? TT

    Amsterdam bikes

Just left Amsterdam after a couple of days. Not sure if it's Amsterdam or all of the Netherlands, but I heard there are 850,000 bikes there. I can believe it's just Amsterdam. There are bikes everywhere! I took a requisite canal tour where they said in a recent year they fished 18,000 bikes...

    Which is the hot side?

DC motors typically run backwards if the polarity is reversed, so just try it. If it sucks instead of blows, just reverse the wires. TT

    First Flat!

Tubes or tubeless? Guessing tubes. Were you using any kind of sealant? You probably wouldn't have had a flat if you were. Also, look up Handlebar Jacks. TT

I know it will take the fun out of it, but you might need to explain what's funny there. TT

A little lubricant might help. Some dish soap on the tire bead... TT

    First Flat!

With one flat in 2400 miles indicates you probably don't need to do anything any differently. I run tubed tires and rarely have a flat. I keep a healthy dose of Slime in my tires, so I may have had numerous punctures but remained unaware of them, which is how sealant-filled tubes work...

I picked up on that too, but just shrugged when I remembered we're talking about a highway department. TT

    Just for fun...

Not sure what a mini kid's soccer road cone is, no idea really. Sounds like the kind of thing one would be unlikely to have handy if someone in a Tesla tried to run over them. TT

Where is the problem located at?

I guess you must! Thanks for the explanation. Still seems like a lot of lead to me. TT

Where is the problem located at?

Roughly 2000 shells. It would take me a while to go through that many shells, but okay.... TT

    My life was threatened....

There's way too much truth to that. It's interesting to me how the same story, true or not, convinces some people they need to carry a gun and others that they don't. I fall in the later group. Perhaps naively, I'm not afraid to go just about anywhere out in public without going armed. I'm...
