Where To Vacation With Paved Bicycle Trails, E-Bike Rentals & Nearby Lodging?

Check out the Cincinnati Ohio area. Lots of paved trails. That's where I'm heading for next summer myself to do some biking there

Do You Wear a Wristwatch When You Ride?

Garmin Fenix 6 here. For me I like that through Garmin connect, it updates All Trails and komoot. And since I swear by my varia radar, I like that it links to that and buzzes at me for approaching traffic.

    Just for fun...

That's pretty much how I work. I work at investment casting company with the wax dies. I usually start with the 6" pry bar to separate the dies, troublesome parts may require the 12", sometimes I have to work up to a two and a half foot pry bar.

Biking to Work Isn’t Gaining Any Ground in the US

I would love to be one of those that would bike to work except for two factors. 1) a cousin of mine was struck by a deer and has permanent brain damage while biking to work. 2) I work at a dirty factory with no place to store the bike indoors and don't want to leave it outside.

    Recharge during lunch?

I have read in several places that a battery should take a couple of hours to cool off before charging. So if you plan on charging midday I would consider that and add it to your timetable

Do you know your hand signals?

Hand singles might as well mean with the original picture showed if the car screaming up behind you doesn't know them

    Our cat just vanished.

My stepdad picked up four dead birds around their bird feeder today. He says he's constantly having cats stalking the feeders. There have been a number of reports about bird populations and decimated by cats.

California Assembly member proposes driver's license for e-bikes

The other downside to that is we already have a problem in America or one out of every three people has some sort of arrest record even if it's just traffic violations. Now we can start that statistic to include minors. I agree that something needs to be done for people who aren't suitable for...

    Music Junkies?

Even though I do use headphones while biking (varia radar notifications and music). Curiously in Ohio it is illegal to use headphones for biking or driving a car, but NOT illegal on a motorcycle.

Ohio to Erie trail on ebike

Isn't that the truth with infrastructure throughout the United States? People don't consider what the maintenance costs and upkeeps is going be. And then the same people that voted the tax levies to build it, won't vote the tax levies to keep it up

    Wireless Earbuds for cycling

Sorry to be the negative here but the only problem with speakers is that everybody gets to hear your music. Nothing is so annoying as riding along a peaceful trail listening to the birds listening to the crickets listening to whatever and then slowly the music builds as somebody who's got the...

    Chain Lubing?

My chain gets lubed based on where I bike. If I'm on the crushed limestone towpath I'll try and remember to lube every single time I ride. Otherwise it may be a hundred miles or so if I'm on pavement.

    Wireless Earbuds for cycling

All I know is I was on the Allegheny River trail, a very very bumpy trail, And with my beats pro in, I could hear my water bottle bouncing out behind me on the trail 🫣. Evidently I forgot to zip the pannier shut. So I'm satisfied with my ability to hear my surroundings.

Do you regret buying (or not buying) Step-thru vs. Step-over frame?

As one with screwed up knees. I don't think I would be riding if it wasn't for step-thru. I've tried.... had to tilt my old trek to about 30deg to get my leg over. So I'm very pleased with my step thru city cruiser
