Priority Bicycles just launched the most affordable Gates belt mid-drive e-bike

I bought this bike after a Pace 500 earlier in the summer—the Pace 500 is the best hub drive bike out there. Yet, I also wanted the mid-drive experience. I wanted a reliable mid drive bike powerful enough to to take me up the steep hills in upstate NY where I visit and in Pennsylvania where I...

How to get 100 mile range on a 500 wh battery !

I use my Pace 500 to PA up to 15+ mph and keep the PA at 0 and throttle it to keep it at 15+, only using real pedal assist on hills. I think you could get quite a good distance on that , though not 100 mph. However, it’s aspirational.

    Aventon quality and reliability

I have put about 500 miles in two months, more if we didn’t have bad weather in the East. Since the replacement bike arrived, I have had no issues. For the range on the battery, the smoothness of a rear hub motor, and the warranty service, you can’t do better than this bike.

Known Issues & Problems with Aventon Products + Help, Solutions, & Fixes

I don’t find the too fast issue to be an issue when I ride. If you get on and it engages, nix it with the hand brake. Yet, being able to program the levels of the PA would be great. I find I pedal faster than 1 and an owner selected level would be great. There are a number of Ebikes that...

Priority Bicycles just launched the most affordable Gates belt mid-drive e-bike

The twist shifter does need to be broken in—I noticed battery mileage increased and became more subtle as I worked it. I found you could arrive at the right tension on the shifter, which is when it becomes harder to shift backwards. Also, I think you can get good mileage by rarely using PA5...

Priority Bicycles just launched the most affordable Gates belt mid-drive e-bike

I got the Priority Current, have 100 miles on it, and get about 35-40 mph on the battery. I think the trick is to learn to use the CVT to get proper use of PAS and miles out of the battery. The bike is worth the money for a 500 watt mid drive. It takes hills well but willl suck up the...

Known Issues & Problems with Aventon Products + Help, Solutions, & Fixes

Tried all that , Bill 1031. No joy. So, I borrowed my wife’s Pace 500 and while the gear shifter is OK, the shifter has stopped registering the gear....bike has 150 miles or so.

Known Issues & Problems with Aventon Products + Help, Solutions, & Fixes

I took it to the newly minted Aventon dealer in CM, NJ. They did as you suggested and no joy. However, they are going to call Aventon tomorrow and get some further insight. I also looked at some of the You Tube videos-E25- appears to be common across the Ebike industry. It also seems to...

Known Issues & Problems with Aventon Products + Help, Solutions, & Fixes

My Aventon Pace 500 popped up an E-25 error at 316 miles. It’s a brake failure according to the manual, but no brakes have failed. The bike previously had an E-24 error and had the rear hub replaced. What gives.

    Aventon quality and reliability

My wife and I got sPace 500s. They are worth the price. They have quality components that you see on bikes $1000+ more. Mine has worked perfectly except for a defective motor, which was quickly replaced. I have 200+ miles on it in less than a month. It is my vehicle of choice. All internet...

    hub motor issues

I am getting an E24 message now. Everything is connected. Time to call support line.

    hub motor issues

I put this into another forum. I don’t see the vibration as an issue. When I rode the bike 10 miles last evening, the motor cut out, particularly on PAS5 when I was in 8th gear over a distance of several miles. It then cut out several other occasions. I was trying to get the backlight to work...

    hub motor issues

On the grinding issue, I think it relates to derailleur and after fiddling with my wife’s new bike, don’t see it as a problem. A new issue developed in my bike, now up to 113 miles. The PAS and motor cut out in the course of a 15 mile bike run. Then, the motor would try and re-engage for a...

    hub motor issues

Otherwise, no real noise. I will recheck today after tightening the cable. My wife rode the bike today and had none of the issues which I mentioned. Maybe tightening did the job. She has her Aventon 500 coming. I will write back when we receive and assemble it. Thank you for all your...

    hub motor issues

In looking at the bike last night, I did not see the bike out of alignment as much as the Chain not fully fitting in, all the way down in between the teeth on the rear derailleur gear sprockets.

    hub motor issues

I gunned it up to PAS 5 and slowly turned the pedals, felt no grinding. I guess it must be the derailleur, but the gear shift is smooth. How does one align a derailleur.

    hub motor issues

I have a one day old Pace E500 which feels like it grinding as I pedal. I do not hear the noise. I feel it as I pedal. I lubed the chain and still here it. Is this something to be concerned about?
