Hello David, the Velocompact was a last minute purchase, just in between this discussion. For now I'll keep this model. No concern on clamps as I have luckily found a way to firmly clamp both bikes: superdelite below the seat collar and the delite on the frame top tube. I was initially worried...

Wow, I have just read this https://electricbikereview.com/forums/threads/powertube-covers.31355/ Does it means you cannot remove the covers from batteries when travelling? Need to buy blanks?

I am thinking about removing one of the two batteries on short range tours, however I am not sure if the battery rubber cover is 100% water proof, water drops might hit electric contacts? Your thoughts?

I don't like much the plastic taste of the RM plastic water bottle. Who knows if is there any brand offering metal models that can be hanged as the RM original?

I have bought a 2nd hand Thule Velocompact and that's exactly the defect I am noticing....

@geoff1, here in Europe the Thule seems to be the most promising option. No problems for the weight, but for the clamps. Superdelite frame is so thick (7cm x 8cm) that it will be challenging to lock.. See this review: https://www.gearlimits.com/gear-review/review-thule-easy-fold-xt2-bike-carrier/

So according to the previous messages, the dual display will show only what battery is being used, while the general battery status indicator (horizontal) is the average battery charge left?
