Thought I'd share a letter I sent to Lectric on behalf of all of us waiting for our bikes.

i don’t think the cash up front is about liquidity…i think it’s two things, competition for components.. i suspect they have to pay suppliers on a quicker timeframe or immediately in order to gain the inventory they need for manufacturing, either directly or through their manufacturing...

white step thru was followed by battery shipped separate a few days later. black standard finally moved after a few weeks waiting with a label, i’m told it shipped with battery and that only a portion of white stepthrus had the separate battery condition.

XP 2.0: Is 4 Weeks Realistic?

Ppl forget they are not selling out of available inventory, they are selling based on planned inventory. they are communicating to you that it’s basically a 4 week back order now, which is nearly 2x better than what the back order situation was in May. They’ve previously communicated that...

XP 2.0: Is 4 Weeks Realistic?

sure, agree to a point, however, if Lectric does not control FedEx how would you suggest they control the timing of the delivery to your door? Much if the delay issues are not related to Lectric having the bike ready for shipment or not, it has to do with FedEx throttling the pickup quantities...

Bike Insurance? ebikes not covered under homeowners/renters, & >750W not covered by bike insurance

There’s anecdotal evidence on the inter webs and reddit that kryptonite will cover a lot of the expense incurred by a theft loss. there’s some registration involved, and proof demonstration when filing a claim, and a waiting period and other minor inconveniences, but ive read a series of...

Juiced Bikes support seriously lacking, 10 days and all I get is an auto respond.

Sure, can’t really argue with that, it supports my statements i think, vast majority of ebike owners simply buy what they like and which fits their budget and then ride it and form whatever impression they will form. they don’t look closer into components or customer support record or other...

Juiced Bikes support seriously lacking, 10 days and all I get is an auto respond.

the point of online/direct retailers is that it eliminates a lot of their overhead on maintaining a physical presence for their customers. meaning thst customer service is on their terms and not yours. the benefit to the consumer is typically lower prices, but of course the expense is that you...

Can you recommend to me a good bike for 1500 or less, details follow

at that price, you are sort of accepting that not only is the bike yours but the service is yours to do also. there are risks to such a bike but if you understand the risks there’s nothing inherently wrong in buying such a bike other than being able to go for a lot less than a typical LBS...

Thought I'd share a letter I sent to Lectric on behalf of all of us waiting for our bikes.

At a time of unheard of demand, it would be foolish for any company to accept an order in advance of payment. That would just create a scenario where cuto, ers have no skin or not enough skin in the game, would result in customers placing orders with several companies and aging for the first...

XP 2.0: Is 4 Weeks Realistic?

also keep in mind supply chains for bike components, tires, batteries, etc are very volatile right now, meaning that a supply chain issue like no tires available will throw a wrench into it all. the reality is, itis currently impossible, absolutely impossible to predict any date of delivery at...

XP 2.0: Is 4 Weeks Realistic?

the “ships in 4 weeks” is semi accurate. seems they are trying to get bikes from china to Lectric within a month, last news from Lectric was they had increased production to 16,000 bikes per month. however, the 4 weeks estimate is NOT from time of order to your door. delivery from CA or AZ...

Should it be legal for kids to ride ebikes?

Well parents are primarily if not exclusively to blame for this. When parents began wanting their kids to like them as a friend is when it all went off the rails. lol. Divorced parents one-upping the other is also a big contributor to this situation. lol.
