Frey Beast Added To The Garage

Just done over 50klms on the Beast in the last week. As per the display settings the bike is limited to ”just” 60 klm/hr so I was keen to see what I had in i my legs with the stock 40T chainring. I have managed to hit just under 59 klms/hr on both attempts per the speedo on the display - though...

Another Frey Savannah Ultra - CC owner

There is no option to change the number of PAS levels on the display on the Beast. It only has 5 on eco and 5 on sport. Arguably thats 10 pas levels.

So far, lots of fun with my Frey Beast.

Interesting as I wouldn’t have thought it mattered, but must have something to do with the side of the road you ride on which is the opposite side to the land down under.

So far, lots of fun with my Frey Beast.

It appears your left hand brake lever activates your front brake, not your rear brake. Did you swap this over as this is different to mine? Also your stem has 3 spacers under it, whereas mine has five. Perhaps due to a frame size difference - mine is XL.

Frey Beast Added To The Garage

No it’s not TR, not that it bothers me as I run tubes in all 6 of our bikes (3 acoustic and 3 electric)

Thanks. Do you know how many teeth the lowest gear on your cassette is?

Frey Beast Added To The Garage

Thanks Keith, I’ve been following your Frey CC journey in your thread 👍. Do you find the 46T chainring sufficient or would you go bigger?

Frey Beast Added To The Garage

Back in April I took delivery of my first e-bike. Loved the bike and set about doing some upgrades to make it my commuter bike and regularly ride to/from work. For Mothers Day my daughter and I bought the step through version for my wife to get her out riding with us. I then wanted to...

'Zen Skunkworks' - a new model in the development

Initially I was responding to an earlier post about the Bulls bike, but then it morphed into something more 🤦‍♂️. Agreed, I’ll post any further info in the Frey forum.

'Zen Skunkworks' - a new model in the development

Minus the flower basket 😎. Also Frey will paint your bike any colour you want if you are prepared to wait …..I’m sure there will be other standard colours too.

Frey Bike Owners Group on Facebook. I think it is powered by a Bafang M560. Pre production pics.

'Zen Skunkworks' - a new model in the development

I haven’t ridden a Bosch CX powered bike, but I have your version of the Photon motor in my bike in the 48 volt version minus the throttle. I have impressed by the smoothness, torque and quietness of the motor. I have managed to eak out nearly 48 klm/h on my bike. I bought my wife the step...

    Added a 2nd integrated battery to my Luna Z1: 48V, (17.5ah) + (17.5ah) = 35ah!

For sure. I can’t imagine there would be much range on a single 17.5a/h battery with the Ultra motor. I should receive my Frey Beast next week which comes with a 24.5a/h 60 volt battery. Hopefully it has reasonable range.

    Added a 2nd integrated battery to my Luna Z1: 48V, (17.5ah) + (17.5ah) = 35ah!

I’m guessing the Hailong battery case didn’t fit in the frame for a neater look?

Brose releases 48V system motor and a concept motor with an integrated stepless gear system

Specialized Como SL 5.0 - Redshift seat post compatible?

Could possibly stack to shims inside each other. Cane Creek make a 27.2 to 31.6 and a 31.6 to 34.9. The OP could reach out to Cane Creek and ask.

'Zen Skunkworks' - a new model in the development

Judging by the pic, the custom mid-drive motor is based on the Ananda m100 motor - is this correct? In any case 120nm is much better than 85 or 90nm from the typical motors 👍.
