Gazelle ultimate C5 with powermore 250 range extender

It's absolutely brilliant thanks. I'm doing something slightly unusual with it, because I am using it instead of the main battery. The main battery was nearly 4kg and it was too heavy for me to carry into the house and was really weighing the bike down when I cycled. I realise that that 4kg...

Gazelle ultimate C5 with powermore 250 range extender

Hi, Thank you very much for your help on this. The man contacted Gazelle, who contacted Bosch. Bosch wrote back and asked me to promise never to put the range extender battery in the bottle cage (not sure why). I promised and then they activated it, so it is all working now. Thank you very...

Gazelle ultimate C5 with powermore 250 range extender

Hi, I wondered if anyone might have succeeded in getting a Bosch powermore 250 range extender to work with a Gazelle ultimate C5 that also has a 625Wh battery fitted? My ebike specialist dealer is trying to get this to work for me. They contacted Bosch before we started and they confirmed...

How to change turbo mode to be as smooth as ECO

Thanks, I'll have a look at that I definitely think that reducing the power has helped. The suspension is bonkers on my bike. It's like riding on concrete wheels. Maybe I should let the tyres down a bit.

How to change turbo mode to be as smooth as ECO

I've come down with some kind of lurgy now which is going to delay thing for a bit. I'll disappear for a little while and report back when I have had a chance to go and test the battery. Thank you very much for your help.

How to change turbo mode to be as smooth as ECO

Oh okay. I can't ride a class 1 throttle bike. That is a motor cycle here and I don't want to get a licence

How to change turbo mode to be as smooth as ECO

Is this the sort of thing that I should have bought, do you think? https://www.primocycles.co.uk/shop/bikes/sub/electric/trek-verve-1-m-ch-41302308/ My manual bike is this without the battery.

How to change turbo mode to be as smooth as ECO

Thanks, yes I see what you mean. I'm stuck with this one bike, but I have a pretty good idea that it will work at low speed / low cadence if I just use it as a manual bike with the motor turned off entirely, which I should be able to do if I get the lighter battery. That way I can keep the...

How to change turbo mode to be as smooth as ECO

Thanks for explaining. I can't pedal any faster, but it's helpful to understand how it works.

How to change turbo mode to be as smooth as ECO

Does that just mean that the faster you pedal, the faster the motor pushes?

How to change turbo mode to be as smooth as ECO

Thanks for saying about that. I can't ride at a faster cadence but the motor does kick in at a slow cadence. It kicks in as soon as I turn the pedals.

How to change turbo mode to be as smooth as ECO

@Jeremy, > So fairly low speed and a lot of stop and go in congested areas, and up to 20 mph on open road. And you want help starting out — presumably to get up to balancing speed as quickly as possible. Correct? yes this is right. Tbh I think I am nearly sorted. I just need to change gear and...

How to change turbo mode to be as smooth as ECO

Q1) I think my speed during this would be an absolute max of 9mph. I go at 16mph on the open road, but there isn't time or space to exceed 9mph in the small roads. The absolute legal speed limit on these roads is 20mph, and I often am reduced to driving at 10mph, because there just isn't space...

How to change turbo mode to be as smooth as ECO

That's amazing to know that that is where you live. I used to go on trips for work to San Diego and I used to fly over that area in a propeller aeroplane from the airport in Los Angeles. It's lovely to know that that is where you are. I can imagine that you must have some amazing views and nice...

How to change turbo mode to be as smooth as ECO

I just tried turning the power of the battery down to 80% again and I think it does make a difference. It also helps if I keep walk assistance on all the time when I am walking. Out on the road, the bike seems to feel much more at home if I ride it as though it was a small car. With a manual...

How to change turbo mode to be as smooth as ECO

I wondered if I could tell you about my continuing experiments, and ask a question about the kind of terrain where other people cycle? I have realised that my bike with the big battery and the max power setting is great on steep hills, and against a headwind. It is also great on wide open...

Brand new Bosch intube 625Wh 17.4Ah vertical battery, charged once, mint cond.

I just bought a Gazelle Ultimate C5 brand new. The battery is too heavy for me and I would like to switch to just using the range extender battery. I am selling the 625Wh 17.4Ah battery on. I have only charged it once and only used it enough to get down to 80% charge. The battery has been...

How to change turbo mode to be as smooth as ECO

It does seem to be very hard to sell it on without a massive hit in value. However, if I keep it I have to store it with no intention of ever using it, and all the risks of storing a massive battery. I can't really imagine ever cycling more than 30 miles without being able to stop and charge...
