That is totally not worth it. They are dirt cheap used. If you were in the US, I would just send it for the shipping cost.

That usually happens, when the rubber contact of the LCD is not connecting clean to the board. But they are cheap used, should not be more than 30€

WTH are you talking about? You need an update every other month? I use the first generation Nyon one for almost 9 years now and they still have an update in the queue. Totally fine if it receives an updated every other year or after 3 years.

No code needed. Just simple electronics. Don't need to have it connected to an app and all that crap. Just wanted to ride faster, not play with the phone. I know people cannot ride their bikes these days if it does not connect to their (Apple) phone. But that of course costs more.
