Looks like a good tire. I think I'd rather have a little more toward a road tread. I only ride on asphalt although I get into a little gravel or rocks sometimes.

I've always carried a chain breaker. This is the first bike I've had with the quick link. I got some extra KMC quick links for mine the other day. I may buy an extra chain in the future just for a spare but I'm just going to carry a couple quick links and the breaker on the bike.

Yeah their Verves are off quite a bit. I've got the odometer on my road bike programmed to to exact circumference of tire and it runs almost exactly with the mapmyride app on my phone. My Allant seems pretty close also.
