Yeah, yeah. But what I meant was not that the display holds the GPS, but that the display acts as a key for the bike. If the display isn't mounted, then the bike is immobilized. It would still need a GPS tracker (like a Tile) to find the bike if it gets tossed into the back of a van.

Removable display that mobilizes the bike/controller when not attached? That would be pretty great, Pushkar.

What about a short antenna that protrudes from the frame? Almost like a brake wire? Surely someone has the ingenuity to create a system that would/could work.

I would like a removable display due to city living/riding. My preference is to use my phone/app to do everything on your list. And when I park the bike, I take my phone and that in turn immobilizes the bike (theft prevention).

Your integrity, transparency, communication and commitment to service and quality are why I'm a Watt Wagon customer. This is a bump in the road, but the City Commuter will be a better bike upon relaunch.

I suppose that the best of both worlds would be the ability to swap them (display and/or phone) out at will depending on our riding needs on any given day/weather condition.
