I have owned the Giant Roam E+ and the Explorer E+, and both were good bikes with no issues. The 60nm of power on the Explorer was okay, but once I road the Fastroad EX....game over. The 80nm is noticeably stronger. The Explorer for $2900 is a steal though and I would probably buy that one...

Thank you for this post. I purchased my Vado 4 in June, and just noticed a few days ago, the rear light was NOT coming on. Upon inspection, same thing, wire severed near the tire. I am running 2.4 vs 2.3...and that might account for it, but it seems like a small design flaw on an otherwise...

That is probably correct...the 2022's have suspension forks and the downtube is narrower. Hope that helps.

Pricey, maybe.....but the Vado 4.0 is a steal when you consider all that you are getting in that package. I have owned other ebikes that were more expensive, but not quite as polished as the offering from Specialized.

No problem. A lot of people shun Specialized, including me, prior to actually riding one. The "hype" around these bikes is real. Everything about this bike was well though out, and it is a superbly engineered machine. Well done again to the team at Specialized.

Great information and insight. These forums are the best to resolve real life issues, fairly quickly. I pick up my second Fastroad EX Pro in 5 days. Hopefully I will not have any issues. At least, there are real answers and solutions to try. Take care.
