My ECO setting is at default on my Vado 4, and I weigh a little north of 250lbs, yet I consistently get 50-55 miles on a ride, arriving home with 27-34% battery left. I usually average between 80-85rpm's per ride....that's the target. My setting for Sport mode is 100/40....and I easily get 40...

Specialized is the whole package. I would choose the Vado 3 all day, and twice on Sundays. Although I have never had an issue with either of my Vado's (Vado 4 and Vado SL 4), I am sure that Specialized as a company would back their product. Good luck.

I've owned Giants, Trek, and Specialized e-bikes. For the money, the Specialized Vado 4 is hard to beat. I own a Trek 8s, but you could spend less and take a look at the Trek 7s. I prefer the Class 3 bikes, just for the higher speed support (28mph). Hope that helps...and happy hunting.
