I do agree that a top-loading battery is preferable, especially with regard to compatibility. (I also find the idea of a hanging battery... unsettling.) I mostly wish for an AM1000 v5 or CC type frame, with front rack mounting points on the steerer tube, & rear rack mounting points on the back...

Naw, it's not "tuned" from Bafang at all. The torque sensor cannot ever read below ~700mV, but the detection starts at 0mV by default. That's literally tossing the first 1/4 of the torque sensor's range in the garbage, & detecting any pedal movement as ~12 "Kg" of pedal force. Additionally...

Possibly? Does the display connect with a round connector near the handlebars, or is it a "house shaped" / "squarish D shaped" connector? The UART controllers have been using round plugs; the CANBus controllers seem to all have squarish plugs.
