Inner tubes. Our friend AND enemy.

I ordered 2 of those Bakcou tubes. Oh, don't worry PCeBiker, I'm writing a "reminder note" on my down tube to not snap again. I got a few catchy ideas. Will post a picture when I finally flip the Xpedition back over. So far my new wheel is in transit and the original wheel is still collecting...

Thank you for the tip Nvreloader! Gonna try one, or maybe 2! Military grade as well!

    Any Ebike light battery recommended?

A friend took a silver Greenfield and polished it out to a mirror like finish. He said he was bored and wanted to try his hand at polishing. He has it on a tatty Worksman beach cruiser. It really pops on there.

Inner tubes. Our friend AND enemy.

That's why I asked if anyone knows of a quality brand. I'm gonna try this Sunlite and see how it goes. I know there is a failure rate in every product. I've had good luck with those 40% thicker Goodyear tubes Wal-Mart sells/sold but they (Goodyear) don't make them for a semi-fat tire in 20"...

Inner tubes. Our friend AND enemy.

I have one of those. I forgot the brand but it wont fit in the wheel! It's to tall because the 20" wheel combined with a big hub. I'll try to find it and post up a pic. I was so excited when I received it thinking "No more bike shop fees, I can do this myself!" but nope, didn't fit.

Inner tubes. Our friend AND enemy.

I stopped in a bike shop to see if they had a 3"- 4" tube in stock, or even a Globe Haul tube. The Globe Haul tube seems to be out of stock everywhere so I ended up with a Sunlite inner tube. The bike shop said the fact that I haul my wife on the back is what puts max stress on any inner tube...

Inner tubes. Our friend AND enemy.

The local ebike shop has had my rear wheel for over 2 weeks now for a spoke tension check/set. I think they're short handed and the turn around times are sloooow. I just ordered a whole new rear wheel for the Xpedition. I got a $265 lesson in staying calm and not to use inner tubes from Lectric...

    Review of my Lectric ONE.

Only torque sensor ebike I've ridden was a Cero One. I liked that ebike but 1) No throttle and 2) It took mad effort to get over 16mph. But the take-off was instant, quick and smooth. Never herky jerkied. Every ebike I've ever owned has had better response off the line compared to the ONE. My...

    Review of my Lectric ONE.

I'm at roughly 60 miles now. I still don't ride it like I thought. A few things I've discovered. They (Lectric) claim it has a super high resolution cadence sensor that contains 100+ magnets for "instant engagement". I swear mine has a 7 magnet cadence sensor. Sometimes it takes forever for the...

    LiteLok X1 andX3, plus a Tex-Lock review.

Thanks m@Robertson for the video links. I take it your cargo ebike is more money than my cheap-o Xpedition, even my ONE (combined). Either way, getting a bike stolen stinks! I'd be bummed if my basic moped got stolen. One day I'll upgrade to something premium, so I think of this as training in...

    Whizzbang Treat Alert W/Video

I was watching a Inside Edition special today on insurance fraud. A car will stop on the interstate in front of you, you stop and they slam their car in reverse-claiming you rear ended them. Up to four bums will get out holding their neck. Dash cams should be mandatory for all vehicles at this...

    LiteLok X1 andX3, plus a Tex-Lock review.

I appears the thieves with the battery powered angle grinders are moving south from D.C. and Richmond into my area. I have yet to meet someone personally that has had a U-lock cut but the rumblings are strong in the bicycle community. So I decided to take the plunge and invest in some modern...

    Review of my Lectric ONE.

31.8 is the size of the seat post. It's a weird size and when you order a, say, suspension post that says 31.8mm you'll get a smaller size with shims. The cheap Lectric pogo post is 31.8, so no shims needed. I have no hatred for shims but try to avoid them when necessary. Picture of stock post...

    Juiced Closing Up Shop?

The batteries are not proprietary. My co-worker learned this little fact. The dented battery from the RipRacer also fit his Addmotor fat tire 26" ebike and worked normal. He ended up giving the Addmotor away and I think he tossed in the RipRacer battery. Either way, batteries are not proprietary...

The Scoville Scale - Hot, Spicy Sauces!

I admire all of you who can eat spicy and/or hot food. My tummy can no longer do it. I ate one of those peppers from a Kung-Pao order from Panda Express and got laughed at by everyone at my job! I turned super red! But we had a lady who has since retired but if I see her I'll ask her. She made...

    Different Seat

Wal-Mart used to sell big booty Schwinn branded seats. Comfy and durable. Check there. They (Wal-Mart) also sell Sella Royal seats that are Made in Italy. They have a big gel seat that's pretty comfy as well. Quick tip if concerned: If you buy a few seats to try and end up with a few extras you...
