Going from a 46 to a 40 on my Creo completely changed its climbing personality. It’s a low cost, simple change that should be a big win for your wife. 38, 40, 42 would all be viable choices, I’d think.

Hey Chazmo I’ve heard a little about this trail but take it that it’s a bit of a work in progress… where is this section and does it look like that for any appreciable distance? Looks like it might rate a ride over from the Saratoga area some fine day.

The original buttons on the top tube should still change assist also, but I’ve almost never used them since installing the remotes on my 1st gen Creo. Congrats on all these new Creos showing up!
