    Specialized Sport 650 x 2.3 weight?

I have been looking, but so far I am unable to find weights listed for the Specialized Pathfinder Sport reflect 650b x 2.3 tires that come as stock equipment on my Turbo Vado 4. For the kind of riding I do, they are in the realm of overkill. I might be happier with some slightly narrower and...

    Pairing issue, maybe?

Pairing issue…maybe? I have a Turbo Vado 4.0, vintage 2022. all was fine when I left Colombia 3 months ago. Upon my return last week I fired up the bike and the mission control app, and it appears that the pairing is hung up. It never gets past the “connecting” message in mission control, and I...

New Vado SL 4.0 - harsh ride!

Might sound goofy but there is a company making laminated bamboo handlebars in New Zealand https://www.passchier.co.nz/product-category/bamboo-handlebars/?v=7516fd43adaa I had a pair on my specialized cirrus and they are amazingly comfortable. At first the flex is a bit disconcerting, but...

    Best wind noise solutions?

Another option is a thin summer neck gaiter worn cap style. I do that frequently, it muffles the worst of the wind noise but doesn’t leave me deaf. Also it is a great sunblock for those of us who are concerned with skin cancer

Specialized Vado 5.0 IGH Cadence Survey

I just use a good lubricant every 100 km or so, I just apply while the bike is hanging from its storage rack, same time I check the cables for lubrication. Admittedly belts dont need that done, however have you ever adjusted a belts tension? I have done it many times in industrial applications...

I thought Class 3 would feel safer on the road

My observation about cycling, be it ebike or pedal bike is that if I am decked out in Lycra and Spandex it seems like a percentage of the drivers out there are aggressive and rude. if I go out in my sandals, shorts, and a button up shirt that percentage seems to drop noticeably, like they are...

    Online E-Bikes - is it a scam?

Why do you say that? If not for the LBS, I wouldn’t be able to drop in on the fly for a new chain, or shifter cables, or to ask questions about adjustments. I definitely would rather spend my $$$ at my LBS than with an online operation….just my personal preference. I like patronizing local...

Singlespeed, hub drive, torque sensor, under 40 lbs?

I started this thread because I would like to have a light, simple, singlespeed ebike. i think that such an ebike with a 250 w motor putting out 40 nm of torque would be workable with a 65-70 gear inch gear ratio. Never know unless I try it!

Actually a chain on that singlespeed would definitely be easier…and cheaper

Singlespeed, hub drive, torque sensor, under 40 lbs?

I am a Luddite, old and cranky, and I abandoned Facebook several years ago, so I cant even see which bike shop in Medellin you are referring to. There are probably several hundred. Thanks for trying, but I do not have any desire to pursue that route. If I do opt for that, I have 2-excellent...

Singlespeed, hub drive, torque sensor, under 40 lbs?

Thanks, but I am not interested in a throttle equipped bike, and my understanding is that all of the roadsters come with a throttle now

help me with my Turbo Vado "buyer's remorse"

You have many of the same “second thoughts” that I have suffered through. I realized after about 3 months that the SL would have been a more appropriate selection for me. But I have decided to make the best of it for the immediate future! so what I have done is concentrate on the good points...

Singlespeed, hub drive, torque sensor, under 40 lbs?

I dont know about any of that, but what I do know is that I have seen lots of cheap hub drive bikes cruising up the hills where I live. Many times they have groceries on the racks. So I know that hub drives can handle these hills. They are not long climbs, the steep ramps are usually less...

Singlespeed, hub drive, torque sensor, under 40 lbs?

First, I am not looking for an ebike that will go up the hill unassisted. I am looking for a boost. I can make it on my 20 pound bicycle on a good day. A boost of a few nm of torque and I am definitely where I want to be. Working hard but not max effort to get up the steep ramps. For me an...
