    Amsterdam bikes

Just left Amsterdam after a couple of days. Not sure if it's Amsterdam or all of the Netherlands, but I heard there are 850,000 bikes there. I can believe it's just Amsterdam. There are bikes everywhere! I took a requisite canal tour where they said in a recent year they fished 18,000 bikes...

    Which is the hot side?

DC motors typically run backwards if the polarity is reversed, so just try it. If it sucks instead of blows, just reverse the wires. TT

    First Flat!

Tubes or tubeless? Guessing tubes. Were you using any kind of sealant? You probably wouldn't have had a flat if you were. Also, look up Handlebar Jacks. TT

    Just for fun...

I know it will take the fun out of it, but you might need to explain what's funny there. TT

    First Flat!

A little lubricant might help. Some dish soap on the tire bead... TT

    First Flat!

With one flat in 2400 miles indicates you probably don't need to do anything any differently. I run tubed tires and rarely have a flat. I keep a healthy dose of Slime in my tires, so I may have had numerous punctures but remained unaware of them, which is how sealant-filled tubes work...

    Just for fun...

I picked up on that too, but just shrugged when I remembered we're talking about a highway department. TT

    Just for fun...

Not sure what a mini kid's soccer road cone is, no idea really. Sounds like the kind of thing one would be unlikely to have handy if someone in a Tesla tried to run over them. TT

Where is the problem located at?

I guess you must! Thanks for the explanation. Still seems like a lot of lead to me. TT

Where is the problem located at?

Roughly 2000 shells. It would take me a while to go through that many shells, but okay.... TT

Where is the problem located at?

    No judgment, but why? TT

    My life was threatened....

There's way too much truth to that. It's interesting to me how the same story, true or not, convinces some people they need to carry a gun and others that they don't. I fall in the later group. Perhaps naively, I'm not afraid to go just about anywhere out in public without going armed. I'm...

    Fun with AI

Not sure this is what you meant, but it's interesting how she changes clothes while she dances. TT

Where is the problem located at?

Or he's an e-bike firefighter. TT

Where is the problem located at?

Ha! That's a lot more reasonable! TT

Where is the problem located at?

Why do you carry 30 liters of water? TT

    Issues with brand new ebike

I'd like to hear back from the OP to know if/how this was resolved. I also think Pedaluma's suggestion about the bike shop swapping out a wheel from a bike on showroom floor was very good. That seems like a very appropriate response. TT

Anyone know where to find a screw on helmet mirror?

That, and I wouldn't like the idea of the pointy end of the screws aimed at my skull the case of an accident. TT

90 miles per charge. Too good to be true?

It's a lot easier and quicker to top off a gas tank than to top off a battery. TT
