The original torque wrench is still the best!

The old Atlas-Imperial diesel would specify two men on a four foot bar, sometimes two men and a boy for critical torquing 🤪. Wrenches have been sized for an average man's pull for a long time. It was just learning how much to pull. In most stuff hex screws were rare until maybe the seventies...

    NEW mirrors!

I never needed mirrors on a fast motorcycle, other than checking for cops on my tail. They eventually skooled me out of that bad habit. Your bike looks to be a capable motorbike, except for the pedals.

What Do You Do With Your Old Unused Conventional Bikes?

I have decommissioned a few bicycles over the recent years. I strip anything useful then take them down to their elemental form. Then off to the recycle bin. Breaking up cheap bikes has sure given me a grudge against a bicycle made up of bottom self components. Not worth the time to touch, but...

What Do You Do With Your Old Unused Conventional Bikes?

I buy beautiful twenty-year-old bicycles from a charity for next to nothing and put motors on them. Some I fix to pedal like this one from the mid-2000's. It had only a couple of hundred miles on it! I am of the belief that the ebike trend has cratered the market for conventional bicycles. It's...

Are E-Bikes Safe For Young Teenagers?

I rode bicycles from 5 to 13. At that age we became cool, walked around smoking cigarettes and riding on the bus. Didn't even know an adult could ride a bicycle, because that never happened. Bikes were for children, but then the first Earthday happened and bicycles were cool. Pumped up the...

Are E-Bikes Safe For Young Teenagers?

At 72 I live life with the benefits from decades of pedaling a bike. Though, it would be of benefit for the kid to get off the couch and ride an ebike. It would be even more beneficial if they actually pedaled. We live in a sedentary world.

Are E-Bikes Safe For Young Teenagers?

How things change. When I was 16 we just got motorcycles. Life was so much simpler, I guess.

Are E-Bikes Safe For Young Teenagers?

I bought an ebike for my son when he was 15 after he dropped out of high school. He's been employed ever since, though he now has a car. That was 8 years ago.

    Groundbreaking *4 wheel* simplicity???

It needs a mid-drive into a differential. Just crap having one power wheel on a quad.

Reviews about Romeo Pro II 3000W Dual Motor Ebike

That's because that is what it is, a small motorcycle that happens to have pedals. Personally, I feel that motorcycles with pedals are stopid.

Doubt if you will get a response. The original poster hasn't posted in a year and a half.

Looking For A Full Suspension Skinny Tire Step Through Commuter

I put a mid-drive (BBSO2) on this Trek 7.2. It's a 30+mph ebike and I quickly learned the need of front suspension, so I installed a suspension fork (Rockshox Paragon). And once you have front suspension you'll feel the need of rear suspension. So I installed a Suntour suspension seat post.

Winter is coming: how do I protect the battery?

Only fools ride on two wheels on ice. The basic rule is don't charge bellow freezing. If it gets super cold bring the battery in. I've run a battery outside in my Oslo for 3 years and have not had a problem. Our winter lows here at the 49th parallel are in mid-teens F.

How's the bike infrastructure where you ride?

We had a section of road rebuilt. They put in a two lane road, a bicycle lane, and a side walk. I think it's great, but the cagers hate it, even though their lanes are each 11 feet wide!

    Groundbreaking *4 wheel* simplicity???

At least they're dealing with the granny trike tip-over thing. I would like more on the front wheel linkage. Maybe it leans. It seems like one rear wheel is driven by pedal, and the other wheel by the motor. There might be a market where they're headed. E-mobility is a wild card!

    Groundbreaking *4 wheel* simplicity???

With four wheels what is it legally classified as. My state has a classification something called an electric personal mobility device (EPMD). So maybe that's what it is.

    Rear brake lost all pressure

If you haven't already bled the brake (correctly) it could be the hydraulic circuit is compromised, i.e. the piston seals are bad, etc. I bought my son a new Adventon Pace 500 years ago. Could never get the rear brake to work right. One day I had the bike upside down and noticed the inboard...

    Took a tumble

Every wreck is different. I remember one wreck that I separated a collarbone and broke a wrist. Someone told me I should of just landed on my head, because that was what helmets are for. I wasn't convinced. A broken wrist seems more preferable to TBI, at least in my opinion.

New bike with weird front dropout - Need to fit front hub

Does the front wheel have a working brake? Does the wheel mount solidly into the modified dropouts. Personally, I would replace the forks with something unmodified, and then do good brakes and torque arm. An ebike is heavier and travels faster, so you're gambling with your life if the bike's...
