    NCM Prague Battery

Have you taken a voltage reading of the discharge and charge ports? Sometimes the bms shuts down the battery. I've used a force charge (which I assume supplies a sufficient charge voltage) to turn the bms on. I have a Grin Satiator charger that will do this.

    Radster Trail

Hope Rad can keep it together. Early in the pandemic all ebikes here were Rads. Hated them then, though I was still doing pedal only. The world turns and now where I am most ebikes are Treks (there's a local Trek dealer.) Me, I ride with a smile astride mutant home-built ebikes. ;)

Vado SL 2 Alloy version released

I do like that Tesoro Carbon, and I'd even buy one with the electronic shifter. But times is tough, so I'll stick with my full suspension mid-drive: 😂😂😂.

6'5" 220 looking for a bike that will take me up hill on throttle only

The following advice is from someone how builds their own ebikes. Store bought bikes are not my expertise. Get an emoto, otherwise a BBSHD mid-drive fits the bill on a multi gear bike. I have had very good luck with a BBS02, legal as in labeled 750 watts, though fed up to twice that in watts...

    E-bike battery replacement help

It looks like pretty much a standard down tube mount battery, as such I would look for a similar sized battery in that voltage and capacity along with its mounting cradle. Mount and wire up the new cradle, install battery. Depending on how the battery sits on the bike that should work for a non...

What should I get? New to ebike world?

It doesn't sound like you are a serious biker, so anything that fits will probably work for you. I would avoid the cheapest stuff because you might end up with something of that is literally a piece of junk. That said, if you're handy you can work miracles, though that will take more money...

    Lightweight all around bike

I too have turned away from heavy bikes. Though I have found that it's easier to achieve light when you ditch the motor.;)

The Future of eBikes: How Fast is Too Fast?

High speed ebikes are already illegal in the US, unless registered as a motor vehicle. Do over twenty and you better be pedaling. Though, me thinks, some ebikers doing a speed run will pedal like crazy if they see a cop on their tail.

What Do You Do With Your Old Unused Conventional Bikes?

The price of building an ebike yourself isn't all that bad, providing you can build or procure a motor wheel, battery, and know how to solder and crimp. Plus, all the usual bicycle stuff, because if you build on a used bike it's best to rebuild it before you motorize it. And you might end up...

What Do You Do With Your Old Unused Conventional Bikes?

Did this: converted a 20 year-old road racer to a comfort cruiser.

    Twin motor trike custom build

If you haven't already done so, check out https://endless-sphere.com/ . It's oriented more to the builder, and building an etrike is trending.

Yeah right! Myself, in the fall I will be a freshman. With the grace of god, I might add.

Why can't a DR be mounted at 9 o'clock if needed?

The derailleur can be at that almost 9 o'clock position, but only in the smallest cog. I'm sure there's better options in the hardcore MTB world. I just run the regular stuff. A hub drive can be your friend in those bent derailleur situations, as can be a chain breaker and a quick link connector.

Best cell choice for BBSHD fat bike off-road?

Whatever battery fits, can deliver the current that the controller will pull, and has the capacity you need, but I'd also factor in weight. I like high discharge batteries. I have a couple of packs built out of LFP A123 cells, cells that deliver 50 amps each. Great batteries, but big and heavy...

    Throttles and California

Maybe a bicycle or ebike's speed should be limited to some maximum kinetic energy that has been deemed safe. Enforcement would be most entertaining, with both the cyclist and bike on the scale.;)

I remember paying a plumber $450 for 90 minutes of work. I was happy to pay, as pooping in a bucket ain't fun. Would hate to pay for 3 of them!

Pure torque control. Cadence and others if included leads to unnatural ride.

A right hand half-twist throttle. I'd install a cadence PAS sensor, but what I have won't fit on the crank. Being that the bike is a Cannondale Badboy it is super nimble, and functions surprisingly well with its 350w geared front hub motor. It probably gets 750w full throttle.
