I had the same problem. I just used some denatured alcohol to clean the rotors and that cleared it right up. Thank you YouTube. :)

Nothing quite as scenic as some of you guys but here's the best pic I have from my front lawn. This is my Hybrid commuter with the 500 watt, 36V Falco kit. I have since upgraded the battery to 48V and put on some Schwalbe Marathon Plus tires.

It's a shame we have to have discussions like this. We don't need any more nanny laws. If people ride recklessly and somebody gets injured, we have laws in place to deal with it already. Creating more laws is not the answer. Laws like this will only hurt the law abiding.

UPDATE: Upgraded to the 48V battery system and cleaned up the wiring a bit. I found some "Super Jumbo" Lizard Skin at Amazon.com and it's large enough to wrap completely around all the wiring and even the battery connector. I think it's better protected from bumps and moisture fully wrapped this...

Got the Magura MT-5 dual caliper brakes on her. Waiting for a new front rim from Alexrims (Supra BH) and it's gonna be a wrap. Should be riding it next week.

No problem. I can say for sure on the 48V system you do not have to have the battery on to charge it. What you probably read was about the LCD Display unit. That DOES have to be in the "on" position to charge. Which I still find odd, but that's apparently how it works.
