Need help dialing in handlebars. Pain and numbness in hands.

I'm having a couple of issues. The main one being major discomfort in the hands, wrists and forearms, as well as numbness in the hands. I immediatly ordered a set of Ergon 3 grips and they help but not a lot. What I notice the most is that my hands are way out to the sides. I measured the...

    Cannondale Contro-e Short Review

I'd like to know exactly why Cannondale dropped the price on this bike eight hundred dollars? I'm a long time cyclist and self taught bike mechanic and these bikes are well designed and built. I could understand if there was something wrong with them or if they had inferior equipemnt but they...

    Cannondale Contro-e Short Review

We were about to go with the Vado 3.0 but after riding it twice over varied terrain, I found that what people here were saying about it was true. It was geared to go 20 mph. At anthing above about 22 the cadence was too high to be comfortable for any distance. Some have gone with a larger...

    Best mirror type?

Just installed two Mirrcycle mirrors on our bikes and they are fantastic. No vibration and well designed. I tried them on the lower, inside first but found that clothing interfeared with the view. I then mounted them on the top, outside and they worked perfectly. If you are worried about...

    First Ebike test ride today.

With the Body Float seat post it looks like my wallet would be what was sore. Suntour and Satori look a bit more modest in price. Any comments on those? I'm still changing out the seat but I like the idea of having a bit of shock absorption in the post.

    First Ebike test ride today.

Perhaps your test bike did not have the proper programming.). Thus, to travel at 25 mph you have to be on the smallest rear chain ring. In fact, I am almost always somewhere on the smallest three chain rings. This leads to a lot of concentrated wear on the rear hub. The most prevalent mod for...

    First Ebike test ride today.

We ended up getting Two Cannondale Contro-e Speed bikes and are very tickled. For one they are down in price from $4,500 to $2,700. Not exactly sure why but they have a 500 watt battery and Bosch motor. I've seen a Riese & Muller set up similarly for three times the money. We purchased them...

    Ortlieb Sport-Roller City

This explained a lot. I was thinking that maybe the QL-1 wouldn't work on my rack or was somehow outdated. The QL1 system is found on the “CLASSIC” lines, like the Ortlieb Bike-Packer Classic, and the Ortlieb Back-Roller Classic which are usually used as rear panniers and sometimes as front...

    Ortlieb Sport-Roller City

My racks are 16mm. QL-1 system fits up to 16mm. I think they should work just fine as a rear pack. It's just that they are more comonly used in the front because of the size. I see on the Ortlieb site that they show them being used on the rear rack as well.

    Ortlieb Sport-Roller City

I'm having a bit of an issue trying to figure out if these panniers will work on the rear of my bike. They are listed as being for children's bikes and front racks. I want a modest size pannier for my rear rack. My Cannondale Contro-e Speed says the rear rack is designed for the Ortlieb QL-3...

    Ortlieb panniers for Contro-e Speed?

Here's another one that actually looks even more interesting price wise. Is there any reason this one couldn't be used on a rear rack? I tried a Gravel Pack on my bike at REI the other day and it seemed to fit the rear rack OK. It's slightly more volume but has the QL-1 system. I'm still a...

    Ortlieb panniers for Contro-e Speed?

These are very intersting at $60 for two pieces. Or the same but smaller (Rock Brothers). Has anyone had any experience with the Rock Brother panniers? Tempting at that price.

    Best mirror type?

I like the idea of the "motorcycle style" of the Ergotec mirrors. I have always opted for helmet mounted mirrors with my road bikes. I found them a little lacking, had to do a lot of neck twisting but for the sake of "light and efficient" they were great. Now that I am looking for something...

Rear bag that works with the city kit rack ST-1?

I'm leaning towards the Ortlieb Gravel Pack as it seem a bit lighter material and not as bulky. It comes with the QL-2.1 attachment system which should clip over the rack on my Cannondale Contro-e Speed, 16mm rack.

    Ortlieb panniers for Contro-e Speed?

I'm seeing them on ebay for $139 the pair. Here's some for $119 but with the QL 1 fastening system. These are interesting at $49 a pair from China. I realize models and quality vary, just trying to get some bang for my buck. I'm all over the place right now with panniers. I looked at some...

Ergon GP3-L and Bar end Mirrors?

Just got a pair of the Ergon GP-1's for the wife and she loves them. I ordered a pair of the GP-3's for myself because of a serious cans of hand numbing on the new Ebike. Odd thing is that on my road bike I have very little problem and it's a more forward position, with more weight on my...

    Ortlieb panniers for Contro-e Speed?

At $85 it sounds like a good deal but it says you are buying "1". If that means 1 set then I'm in but I'm thinking it's $170 for the pair. Maybe I'm just a cheapskate but I'd like to be into it for less than $100 for the pair. It's not like I'm cross country touring. I just need something to...
