What are the other ways of saving weight? Is going tubeless a big deal.. Drilling the RR's double walled rims doesn't seem like something easily done... I believe the ones I've seen are punched out single walled rims?? The seat/s. post looks like a good candidate for exchange... Saving weight...

pxpaul, I saw your left field fork question, did Ty get back to you? Are you looking for weight savings or reliability. And do you think it will change the steering geometry, how about riding angle?? I'd also be interested in gps tracking... but I don't plan on leaving it in public places...

Any RadRover contributors out there ?

Right, the 1st run, I believe the 2nd run will be about 10 days behind the 1st 60 bikes .. From all that I have read.. they're right on schedule... pretty amazing... Those humongous cargo ships can make it from Shanghai to Seattle in 12-15 days..

Question for 1st wavers... Have you been billed for shipping yet? I put my order in April 15th and still haven't been billed for shipping. I'm guessing they are waiting to receive and inspect the bikes in Seattle beforehand... but that's just a guess... Maybe a better question for the RR team...

Any RadRover contributors out there ?

I've got 2 coming, 2nd wave, it will be interesting to compare the 2 in performance.... and I can rotate the batteries. It would be a bonus if there could be a way to keep track of charging cycles... besides doing it manually... Anyway, I'm looking forward to blazing the trails around Santa...

So at 1.8 amps per hour it will take 4-5 hrs to fully charge a depleted battery?? And if production of the Black/Yellow bikes will be completed at the end of next week... That's approx. 2000 bikes in 20 days or a 100 bikes a day... so only 60 days more until 8000 bikes are built... something...

Over on gosondors, they mention 350WH, 360WH and 8.8AH (316.8 WH) in regards to their battery... which is it? All, still over the 300W limit... Seems like UPS has a higher limit than FedEx (100WH)... although I couldn't find the specific UPS guideline... for ground shipping... By air is much...

FTC, What are the repercussions... if it turns out Sondors has shipped the batter packs within the bike boxes?

How did you become so skeptical.... so quickly ... it took me years and years ... Look on the bright side, you'll have incredibly strong legs... pedaling around on that thing when the battery goes dead...

I think the bands are a non issue, the opaque band is just there to keep the 3 boxes on the pallet..then removed as the boxes must be hand stacked in the 40' container to fit what looks like 168 boxes. The yellow bands weren't removed. Getting the boxes off won't be a picnic though ...

FTC, Great points/suggestions... It's going to be a while before crowd funding gets reined in... I doubt they will do it on their own... What agency is willing to step in?
