Horn, Bell or Voice, how to warn others of your presence and intentions

True. I can see the trails restricted for walkers only if people complain too much. I'd like a voice alert like Alexa announcing my rear approach. "Attention, bike coming, thank you"

Horn, Bell or Voice, how to warn others of your presence and intentions

I agree. I tell people thanks when they move to the side to let me pass. Hardly ever seen people super shocked by saying I'm behind them or "coming around"

Horn, Bell or Voice, how to warn others of your presence and intentions

Same here. On the bike trails "On you're left" usually does it. If they don't hear me I slow way down before going around. Tried a horn, but they scare people too much on a quiet trail. Throttle I use for deadstop takeoff only.

    Thoughts Of An Experienced E-Biker

There is no right or wrong as to the "proper way" to set up a bike. It's all trial and error and no amount of supposed biking expertise or know how can be used to determine the right posture, handlebar type, seat height or amount of seat cushion to ride on. There is no right way to do it. It's...

    Thoughts Of An Experienced E-Biker

I think the comfort level changes with age. In my 20s that setup would be fine. In my 70s it would kill me. Lol

They have many different seat types, shapes and sizes. From the cruiser to the hard, small ones. Check Amazon.

    Thoughts Of An Experienced E-Biker

Gee doggie, having a bad day or are you always this cheerful? I don't know where you get this stuff from but this seat works great. No chafing, rubbing, grinding or anything but pure comfort. Not soft and cushy or losing a bit of support. Year 3 and it still works just fine. So, now what eh? If...

Mine's a Cloud 9. Good support, very comfy, and very well made. Great seat.

    Thoughts Of An Experienced E-Biker

Well said! There is a whole lot of hype out there about seat type, position on bike, wind resistance, weight etc. That's fine for racing bikes running the Tour de France, but these are ebikes with motors! Not 5 lb. race bikes that require spandex body suits on hard shell micro saddles. Hard on...

    Thoughts Of An Experienced E-Biker

Sitting bent forward is hard on the back and puts too much pressure on the hands. I didn't buy an ebike to work real hard or cause pain to myself. Why would I want to sit on a hard, unpadded seat for hours at a time? I wouldn't replace my car seat for hard plastic either. I could have stuck with...

    Thoughts Of An Experienced E-Biker

I sometimes ride with a local bike club and most members are seniors. About half are riding the ebikes with the hidden battery. Made to look like a water bottle. But, some of these good folks are still riding on butt floss hard seats, narrow tires, and leaning forward. We ride around 25 miles on...

    Thoughts Of An Experienced E-Biker

The Jones bar is the solution for me. I raised the bars and have them swept back to me. My seat is the right height so I sit and ride like on a motorcycle. Along with a Cloud 9 seat, Schwalbe balloon Big Ben tires, suspension seat post, and front suspension forks, this bike rides very smooth. I...

WOAH ! Found This on the Hi-C Battery Rebuild Page

Kev-sounds like they never got back you with a price. Hate when that happens. They did give me a price last week to rebuild my 48v 1000w. Ecotric Seagull battery. I posted that info on the Ecotric site for another guy with the same bike as mine with bad battery problems. I don't know what size...

    Bad battery or safety feature?

Thank you. Merry Christmas to you as well. Next year maybe you will be able to try that new bike trail they built down there. Nice. I really like riding them during the off season. Very few joggers, bikers, or dogs. A peaceful, quiet ride through the woods. Good for the soul.

    Bad battery or safety feature?

Lol It really is a sexy bike. I just got back from a chilly 25 mile ride. I'm in Wa. State and it's in the 40s. Wind chill while riding through the woods on a light snowy bike trail, had to be in the 30s. Winter wonderland. No crowds at all out there.

    Bad battery or safety feature?

Makes sense. I'm sure every component of these batteries was made at the lowest cost possible. The Ecotric is a fine bike for the money but the battery and tires are just real low grade.
