Bike tires? Puncture proof? Skid proof?

I want to hear the truth. The truth may be that what I think is the best solution is not available, but I still want to hear it. And I want to hear as many options as I can. It also is not that small a deal. When the first cars were built, car owners pretty much had to be mechanics. Today, they...

Bike tires? Puncture proof? Skid proof?

I am 6' 2" and over 200 lbs. I doubt that I would ever need to carry a 40 lb load, but even that weight should not be a problem when I am on the bike. No?

    Knee and elbow pads?

Hmmm... Maybe someone needs to make a helmet that looks like a bare head.

I found them: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08KGX1FFV/ I wonder why the colored ones are so much cheaper? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08KGXZWDH/

Bike tires? Puncture proof? Skid proof?

I meant to add that I also want tires that are as skid resistant as possible. I see big fat tires on some mountain bikes with deep treads. They look to me like they would be more puncture resistant and provide better traction. Is that true? But I don't think they will fit on the C380. Maybe I...

Bike tires? Puncture proof? Skid proof?

One of the main reasons that I have not bought a bike before now is the fear of a flat tire while far from home. That happened to me many years ago and it was a major pain in the a$$. I looked into the most flat-resistant tires that were available at that time. There really weren't any. As I...

    Knee and elbow pads?

Don't we all? 🤨:) I think I am able to compare comments and adapt recommendations to my particular needs. I appreciate his suggestions as I do yours. I am new to all this, so I appreciate a variety of opinions from people with different backgrounds. Thanks

    Knee and elbow pads?

Yes, quite right. The first was in the driveway and caused by a tennis racket sticking up too high in back. I fixed that problem. And a step-through bike will fix it even better. Why not do both? Do you mean ATTGAT? I had to look that up. It seems that is more about motorcycling, than biking...

    Knee and elbow pads?

Do you use these? They appear to be even less "sharp" (ie, harmful to legs) than the VP pedals.

    Knee and elbow pads?

Are these the right ones? https://www.perennialcycle.com/vpe-527-low-profile-platform-pedal.html It says only 2 left. I found them a couple of other places, but they were sold out. Are they that hot or is the company not making them anymore?

How to get a simple list of the threads I am following?

Is there a way to get a simple list of the threads I am following? The Your content link is not very helpful. It lists all of the most recent posts I have made, so there is often several posts in the same thread. The MrExcel forum, which I consider the best-run forum I follow, has a Watched...

    Knee and elbow pads?

Thanks. I would not of thought of the leg scratch problem. I'll probably get them and then I'll watch for that.

    Knee and elbow pads?

Ok. I will never be in that situation. I doubt I will ride at night and I doubt that I will ride in the rain -- unless I have ridden somewhere and then it rains.

    Knee and elbow pads?

Sorry about your fall. How did that happen? I only ride on city streets, so I rarely, if ever, see any gravel. I'll look into the mechanics wear, but I'll probably get some heavier cycling gloves. And I will rarely exceed 20 mph.

Thanks. I'll look into both the pads and the gloves.

    Knee and elbow pads?

Are these the pedals you mean? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08FFJNL89/ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CWRQQGD/ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09R79WC7P/ Do the anti-skid nails grab the shoes too much causing problems lifting the foot off the pedal? I have noticed that if I lift my left foot off the...
