Is there a bike lock that is clearly better

I just received the two Kryptonite locks I purchased on Amazon: Kryptonite U-Lock Kryptonite Keeper chain lock Now I am having second thoughts. These are both keys locks (not combination). The keys are not the same for both locks and they are almost identical except for the key number which is...

Any comments on these battery-powered tire pumps?

Does anyone have any comments, positive or negative, on these tire pumps? They are battery powered and have settable cut off pressure limits. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BR6L4WVJ/ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09MYNX9BV/

Do cell phone holders damage phones?

I wouldn't leave my phone in the holder when parked. I read the reviews of several of the phone holders. There were very few cIaims of the holder failing. I looked at several of these. They look pretty good. But wouldn't a smartphone app work even better? Of course, assuming that I am willing...

Do cell phone holders damage phones?

It looks like I have to also buy a Quad Lock adapter that I glue to the back of my phone. Is that correct? I don't think I want to do that. How is the Quad Lock better than something like this? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BP26C9GB/

Do cell phone holders damage phones?

I use one of the map apps to guide me when I am driving somewhere for the first time. I have found it incredibly helpful. Most of these apps have options for walking and biking in addition to driving. I'd like to use it for biking to someplace for the first time. I was looking at some mobile...

Is there a bike lock that is clearly better

My current bike not expensive, but if I find that I can actually ride, I will buy a much more expensive bike in a few months. I have not yet found an insurance company.

Best cargo bags (panniers?) for groceries?

I would appreciate recommendations for cargo bags, or what I understand are called panniers. On the one hand, I want something that is sturdy enough that I can carry some groceries, including some that are somewhat heavy (gallon of milk or OJ). On the other hand, I want something that will...

I just called State Farm, the company we have our car and homeowners insurance with. They do not offer bike replacement insurance.

Is there a bike lock that is clearly better

That's a interesting solution. I'll have to try it out. My concern would be that it could be set off by anyone just bumping against it. Then does it blare until the owner comes out and shuts it off? That used to happen all the time with car alarms.

Is there a bike lock that is clearly better

The "old joke" I know is about wishing for one-handed economists who frequently say, "On the one hand, ..., but on the other hand ... What do you pay for replacement insurance? What does it cover? Where do you get it?

Is there a bike lock that is clearly better

The Cafe locks are only for short periods, such as the coffee shop stop you describe, right? I did a little reading about locks. The general option seems to be that U-Locks are more secure than either chain locks or foldylocks. Do you disagree?

Is this a good deal on this bike?

Can you explain what you mean by regen braking? I think my annual mileage will be less that 1,000 miles.

Is this a good deal on this bike?

There are several ebike shops near here. It is my plan to take it to one of them for at least a quick check. I am very new to e-bikes, so I also want their opinion on whether newer bikes have any significantly better features. I was looking at a Gazelle at $4k. But at 80, I wondered if I would...

In fact, none of my posts in any threads since 10/31 are in my Your Content list. Did some Halloween gremlin cast a spell on Your Content?

Is there a bike lock that is clearly better

Wow! That would be a major bummer. What I meant by "lock the wheel" was to use the wheel lock that is built into the bike. Both the Gazelle that I have been looking at and the Rad that a neighbor is selling have some kind of wheel lock. That would prevent it from being ridden away, but not from...

    Giro Ethos helmet

Hmmm... I have no idea what it is like in the part of Poland where you ride. And I am not sure how relevant your bad experiences with drivers are for me as I will not be cycling in the car lanes if I have a choice. For the past month, I have been test riding my neighbor's Faraday e-bike. If I...

    Giro Ethos helmet

The Amazon page says 10 oz (284g), but the Giro website says 475g (16.76 oz). The info on Amazon is often wrong.

    Giro Ethos helmet

Yeah, I know what you meant. As I said above, the Giro Ethos weighs 10 oz. How much does your helmet weigh? Besides, my muscles have been carrying my head around for almost 80 years and a lot of people believe it is full of rocks.
