    about 40 miles today with almost 3000 feet elevation gain. Constant hills but gorgeous surroundings around Damariscotta, Newcastle, Alna and Jefferson, Maine.

    no studded tires - that's for sure. Give her xc skis and she's a happy girl but that's where it ends :-)

    We took the Ferry from Portland to Bailey island and biked back to Portland. 43 miles later the trip was completed.
