New SL 1.2 motor - better range?

Very true, I was only expecting a small efficiency saving due to mechanical loss. Will be surprised if it turns up greater than this. I am sure someone will show some data down the line.

My chain is jumping off the chain ring on my Creo

Thanks and I do indeed. How can you call something garbage when you zero experience of it. Garbaruk is quality in my book and will by another when the time comes

My chain is jumping off the chain ring on my Creo

Not in my experience. Half the weight of the Praxis and I have done 5000 faultless miles with it and hardly noticed and wear.

My chain is jumping off the chain ring on my Creo

Q1 Yes you are correct, but some are far better than others. I use the Garbaruk Chainring and my teeth are fully proud out the top of the chain. The Praxis one are half this height. I have never had a dropped chain on the Garbaruk. Q2. I have never had a dropped chain on the Garbaruk, no...

New SL 1.2 motor - better range?

From what I understand, there are less moving parts, which would produce an efficiency saving. How much.....can't say....lol

Are Praxisworks cranks the only option for SL 1.1 motor?

I don't think so. I upgraded from alloy to carbon and we looking at many different crank types, but nothing seemed to match. Surprisingly, the carbon cranks are not that much lighter, but the do give you a narrower Q factor and feel much better.

New SL 1.2 motor - better range?

From the reports I have seen, there is efficiency saving for Eco and Trail modes. Turbo will drain battery quicker with the higher wattage, but the interviews with Specialized team said design changes inside give the saving against the current motor.

    New Model Release Dates?

The SL 1.1 and original TCU and damn good bit of kit and it is still what I have on my bike. More torque means easier climbing and the new motor has efficiency saving over the 1.1 so unless you are using turbo all the time (which I do not), it should be more efficient. The quieter nature will...

    New Model Release Dates?

I was looking in the MTB forums and also seen it fits (SL 1.2). You hit nail on the head with can you buy one, which we can anticipate the answer will be no direct from Specialized. They have not even offered the Mastermind TCU as replacement option, so the motor will likely be the same. Will...

Consequences of chain ring size changes on my Creo

When I got my Creo, I was looking at way to make it lighter and went for 38 front and e13 9 to 34 on rear. I used an on-line Gear Ratio checker ( BikeCalc.Com ) to see what I getting. Like you, I wanted a lower climbing gear, so have now swapped to 42 (Garbaruk) and 10 to 42 in rear (SRAM...

    New Model Release Dates?

I have been keeping an eye out for the new Creo. Typically speaking, Specialized does a 3 to 4 year life cycle and go my Creo in March 20 when they came out, so are due. Old Creo stock is on sale and not being replaced. We already now about the motor as in the Levo SL, which is the main part.

Specialized Turbo Creo 28mph Electric Road Bike

Internal batteries. They were sold as untested, as you needed a Creo or Levo to test them. I got 4 batteries in total and 3 worked. One have 5 charge cycles, the next had 8 and the other had 40. The dead one I split open in an earlier post to show the quality cells inside. Was going to...

Specialized Turbo Creo 28mph Electric Road Bike

Not had it but fully understand it. Inside the battery is the BMS (battery management system) and this works out and equal charge / discharge across all the cell in the battery. Should one cell go bad, then the BMS can have a hard time compensating for this and hence the reduced charge to...

Should I buy a Vado SL, or Wait for the Release of the Version with the 1.2 Motor?

I get what you guys are saying, but I got my Creo the day it came out and it has been faultless for 3 years and many thousands of miles. If anything did go wrong, I brought mine from Specialized store and I know they will have my back. The cost was also much better for me early doors. I paid...

    Turbo Creo motor noise

Can't hear mine over my heavy breathing - lol. It is the gear down system that makes all the noise. The TQ motor for example has far less moving part and hence being quieter. The new SL1.2 motor has been tuned be be quieter to

    New SL 1.2 motor revealed

That does make sense. The Creo is getting hard to get hold of as new as stocks are winding down for the new model with SL1.2 and I would expect Vado to go the same way

Creo vs Domane+ SLR w TQ motor - anyone ride both?

Motor is almost the same weight. Not seen any info on frame, so I am expect a similar weight to the current Creo, 12kg for S-Works spec, 14kg Carbon comp and heavier again for Aluminium

Creo vs Domane+ SLR w TQ motor - anyone ride both?

The TQ on the Trek in a much newer motor than the SL1.1 on the current Creo. We know the SL1.2 has now appeared on the Levo and this will be the new motor on the new Creo and features stronger torque, more power and better efficiency in lower power settings. For like to like, compare the new...

    Mission Control and Garmin RTL515

Never used Peleton mode myself......not many of my fellow riders have the RTL515. It does sync all the lights around and needs to speak with them, so would explain the the flashing light in pair mode.

    Mission Control and Garmin RTL515

I had a similar issue a while back. The Varia has two links on Garmin, being radar and light. The primary one to connect to is radar as the light is secondary use. When I connected to light first, I had no radar either. The light can be operated manually by power button on Varia, where as...
