    Mission Control and Garmin RTL515

The Garmin RTL515 for me is essential bit of kit and I hate riding without it, it is that good. I have it paired to my Garmin headunit (currently using 1040), but have had it on 1030 and 1000 previously. There are some interesting IQ app you can run on Garmin headunit to get extra...

Creo vs Domane+ SLR w TQ motor - anyone ride both?

I have a Creo and I have been watching the TQ with interest as I do like to quietness and the additional torque. From the road bike point of view, I have seen this motor in 3 bikes, Trek , Pinerello and BMC and all the reviews have been positive. However, when compared directly to the current...

10 Different bike saddles, and still a sore ass

I have found a set up for me that works extremely well, but the saddle is only half the issue. The standard seatpost gives very little movement and by using a Ergon CF3, you effectively get a carbon leaf spring under your seat and thus adding to comfort. I have this seat post on my Creo and my...

2023 (2024?) Turbo Creo Rumor Thread

I saw in early days of the Mastermind TCU that a few Levo owners got hold of one and tried it for backwards compatibility test to find it did work. I have never seen one for sale, only the older LED version on the original Creo. With the 1.2 motor, Specialized will build the new bikes and...

2023 (2024?) Turbo Creo Rumor Thread

I agree that it will be unlikely Specialized will offer 1.2 as upgrade, but these motor will appear on Ebay and the like. It is know first will they fit and second will they work. I am sure someone will try early door and give us that answer. Bit like the Mastermind TCU on older bikes if you...

2023 (2024?) Turbo Creo Rumor Thread

The new Creo would need to something very significant for me to consider a change. If the SL 1.2 fits in the old bike, we know the battery is the same and that would be a awesome upgrade

    New SL 1.2 motor revealed

I had a motor replaced under warranty on about 2000 miles. I had the issue of the bike cutting out with range extender plugged in, so Specialized replaced loom and motor as precaution. There was nothing wrong with that motor and was a good strong 1.1. With a new Creo, it will have to...

    New SL 1.2 motor revealed

Just found this - The new engine: Specialized SL 1.2 – quieter, stronger, more economical The new engine is called SL 1.2 and at first glance looks almost like the old one. The dimensions are identical. A slightly differently shaped case can only be seen at second glance. Quite as elegant as...

    New SL 1.2 motor revealed

I I did see a rumour that the motor will be the same mounting and interchangeable. The wiring loom must be similar to use the same battery and range extender an charge port door looks the same. Uses Mastermind TCU. The pictures of just the motor, the mount holes look similar.

    New SL 1.2 motor revealed

This review covers the bits I wanted to see. It does use the same battery and in turbo mode, it does used more battery. However, the trail mode is more efficient, so lower power will get range benefits.

Can One order Garmin Varias on 2022 Turbo Vado 4.0?

The eRTL615 is not in UK stores as yet, but the Shimano cable was listed as extra on the Garmin website. Looking at the cable, I wonder if this is just a HIGO connection? If so, means you can pick up a bare wire connection for a few £ $ etc, rather than the huge price Garmin want

Can One order Garmin Varias on 2022 Turbo Vado 4.0?

The Shimano cable will work, bit you will need the Y Cable splitter to get a 12V supply from the bike from what I have worked out. The Specs on the eRTL615 show input up to 12V, which this will give. The Shimano cable ends in bare wire, which would need to be attached to + and - .

    New SL 1.2 motor revealed

Did you notice the voltage? It has dropped from 48v of the current 1.1 to 36V so not fully convinced this is genuine. That said, the Creo / Levo SL is due the replacement

    New Garmin eRTL615 ebike radar

I have just checked the specs on Garmin website and it state will accept up to 12V input, so the Y harness for light will work..........however Garmin's pricing makes no sense. The RTL515 is $200 and I can find this for £130 in the UK. The new eRTL615 is $300, but you get less. There is no...
