Help finding a mid-drive, torque ebike with a throttle and natural pedal assist?

"I feel like you need to own a throttle equipped bike to really understand the benefits." I have had two bikes with throttles. The bike I now have has a Brose motor so no throttle. Do I miss the throttle, YES, there are times I do. You may not use it much but it is sort of like a car without a...

Total e-bike ban after a fatality in Key Biscayne, FLA

This is so true as of the last few years. We have polititions in our country who are very good at promoting that attitude. There are a lot who like to follow trends of famous and important people and this is one of them that sucks.

    Facebook experts. 1 eBike experts

I believe there are very few experts out there that are actually experts on the care and safe charging of our ebike batteries. Most of us learn from articles and opinions that we have read and not from actual experimenting and testing we have personally done. Opinions are like as#####s, we all...

    Dutch Police not messing about.

One can not even imagine the amount of bicycles in Amsterdam if you haven't been there. Rules and regulations are necessary.

14,000 miles ridden within the warranty period. The motor was replaced under warranty. Tell us what brand of bike this was and the brand of the motor please. I must say this sounds like a fairy tale to me.

Dual Battery Balancer circuit - experiences!

When switching (breaking electrical contact) with DC verses AC there can be much more of an arc with DC, such as a welder makes so the switches are designed differently.

    UL Certified Ebikes

In the grand scheme of these multimillion companies $2500.00 isn't very much money. The price of a small automobile. Most brands of bikes do not have a different battery on each and every model.

    Moving Away From Heavy E-Bikes

I understand simplicity being the attraction of single speed bikes to some but on the other hand if one just wants one speed just put your bike in a gear that you like and leave it there. Shifting is an option if you have the gears to do so. My wife couldn't learn to shift gears if her life...

    Will you choose it?

Not my cup of tea. Yes it looks very stout to be sure and made to fill a very narrow nich. My preference is a delicate clean looking machine.

Comparison new bike to tow trailer

Towing a trailer I would make sure what you pick has a twist or thumb throttle. You would be using it to top the crest of a hill or help you get started on an uphill start.

    Pressure cooking

My mother had a pressure cooker that she used frequently. Not sure those old cookers had the safety components of newer ones. If I had a pressure cooker made in 1917 I would be afraid of it. Mostly what I use a pressure cooker for is chicken gizzards.

E-bike Road safety improvements via motorcycle type mirrors, windshield, lights and horn

I now use a helmet mounted mirror after trying several other solid bike mounted configurations. Using a helmet mounted mirror certainly takes a bit, well quite a bit of getting used to but once I did it works the best for me. There are some downsides to the helmet mounted mirror like having to...

How fast is too fast for you?

I am a creature of habit. I tend to ride leisurely the same 4.5 mile route at about 10 to 12 MPH every day. As I ride I enjoy checking out everything around me so I don't go very fast. As I observe other riders many seem their goal is ride fast and cover as much territory in as short a time as...

    Cheap vs Quality Tail Lights?

I would venture to say near 100 percent of them are made in China and am betting the consistency of them is, well inconsistent. I drive a 30 mild stretch of country road where people train for tours so I see lot of different brightness of rear lights. Some I can easily be seen from a mile away...
