New , Gazelle Eclipse , Class 3 , Bosch Smart System

With all the respect to Gazelle, I doubt it is first in US - R&M announce and made their 2024 models earlier this year, and they have i.e. Riese & Muller Nevo4 GT Vario HS bike, which is Class 3, Smart System, Performance Line Speed and Step-Through frame design. I think you don't need to be...

New , Gazelle Eclipse , Class 3 , Bosch Smart System

Yes, smaller extra gives you 1000Wh in total - same is my dual battery setup now. However I was hoping for 1250Wh or even 1500Wh options - R&M didn't release updates for their dual-battery models with Smart System yet, so may be we will see them later this year or next year? Overall Smart System...

New , Gazelle Eclipse , Class 3 , Bosch Smart System

Propel have new Smart System poweres R&M bikes for few month already, so this one is definitely not first. May be them mean first Gazelle in US? Then this is true.

Newest Specialized App (black icon) Drains Apple IPhone Battery

What is the purpose of the app if map is off? Dasboard with speed/distance/cadence/power? Do you really need app always running and connected to ride? Asking as Bosch-powered ebike user with no idea how Specialized approaches its phone connected functions.

New , Gazelle Eclipse , Class 3 , Bosch Smart System

Plus models were always Class 3. Just new iteration on current Bosch platform with unreasonable price increase.

New , Gazelle Eclipse , Class 3 , Bosch Smart System

As owner of previous generation of C380+ I definitely would skip this generation. The overall changes are not that notable except migration to Bosch Smart System, with 750Wh battery as biggest benefit of it. Otherwise, the immaturity of Smart System add some limitations to this model, like no...

Kindernay VII IGH and HYSEQ Onesie shifter

I have some extra parts I might want to spare with since hub lifecycle is closing its end. Probably other owners have some extra as well and can help you...

My Hydra's Kindernay hub is leaking

Works fine for me. Not much info there though. Hope my Kindernay will be ok for some time, so I can research for other options.

My Hydra's Kindernay hub is leaking

Thanks! That's useful. Rations are pretty flexible and can be anjusted quite significantly with proper combinations of front/reat cogs. Any good reviews/feedback for 3x3 hub? It looks nice, but looking at the mechanical version I can't stand the cable shifter again. Kindernay shifter was such a...

My Hydra's Kindernay hub is leaking

I saw it at least here available for purchase. Didn't check if it is actually in stock and being shipped though. P.S. why not Rohloff? Looks like Rohloff is the most reputable and reliable hub by far. Any reason to prefer 3x3?

My Hydra's Kindernay hub is leaking

Sorry to hear that, but looks like there is systematic defect the hub has relates to bad sealing and oil loss. Kindernay was very responsive before and I got replacement for my hub about a year ago. However both hubs and many other parts are out of stock on their web site for about the whole...

Were You Moving Away From E-Bikes, What Traditional Bicycle Would You Buy?

You probably, but not me :) I would not ride regular bike as much as I do for ebike for one simple reason - it is too slow. While I enjoy cycling as it is, I use my ebike for commute (~60% of my rides are commute) and run errands (I am one of those non-typical Americans who doesn't own the car)...

Were You Moving Away From E-Bikes, What Traditional Bicycle Would You Buy?

My contribution is 100W in this case, exactly the same contribution I will do on regular bike, but riding way way slower. I am not gaining/loosing any noticeable amount of watts when I switch bikes. This is the point. The torque sensor does the scaling of your effort, but won't work instead of...

Were You Moving Away From E-Bikes, What Traditional Bicycle Would You Buy?

No, I don't agree. You are missing one important factor here, which is air resistance. On regular bike you hardly can reach the speeds where this became a noticeable factor (unless you are very fit cyclist), but on ebikes this factor plays a very important role (especially is you really ride...

Were You Moving Away From E-Bikes, What Traditional Bicycle Would You Buy?

Honestly I don't understand this at all - looks like someone is just showing off. There is pretty much no difference in physical effort / calories burned between regular bike and good torque-sensing ebike. If someone can put i.e. 160W being in HR Zone 2 75-80% of 30km ride, he/she can do it...

More aggressive tires for Ultimate C380+?

Stock tires on 380+ are 47mm. GT 365 I got are 50mm and clearance near the cranks is just few mm each side. So, if you tires are knobby you might not be able to fit 55mm to c380+.

    E-Horn?

They are relatively small after all - these are not truck or ship horns :) But I can assure you, they are much louder than any bell.

    E-Horn?

Thanks! This was final setup after several attempts to organize light/horn/camera. I tired probably half of the different mound for GoPro available on market before getting to current setup :) Here is the recording - http://sndup.net/y85y. I think it is in the middle, closer for #89.

More aggressive tires for Ultimate C380+?

They are pretty nice. Noise for sure is much more noticeable over the stock Energizer+ when riding on roads and bike lanes. Otherwise I have no complains at all. Usually I put them on bike sometimes in Nivevmber and ride till April or so.
